Free Music Notes for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack]Free Music Review: Great Music and Great Film!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This score is better than any of the pervious Harry Potter Scores/Soundtracks!! John William's music in the previous Harry Potter films had gotten too repetitive. Each film had become almost the same soundtrack with a few changes, basically cut and paste. I personally love how Patrick Doyle takes the original Harry Potter theme but changes the accompaniment/chords to give it a new dimension in this soundtrack. This soundtrack is intense and is a must have! Patrick Doyle couldn't have done any better!
Free Music Review: Excellent Hit: 5 Stars
No, it's not as good as the Prisoner Of Azkaban soundtrack, but it's still excellent. The standouts are "Harry In Winter", which John Williams would be happy to call his own, "Do The Hippogriff", a fun rocker played during part of the Yule Ball scene, "The Story Continues", the movie opener which is a scarier take on the traditional "Hedwig's Theme", "The Dark Mark", the seriously spooky "Frank Dies" "The Quidditch World Cup", "Another Year Ends", and "Hogwarts Hymn".
Free Music Review: Amazing Hit: 5 Stars
I was surprised when I heard John was not going to do the soundtrack of Goblet, which was by far the best of the Potter films by the way, so I was a little iffy about it.
After buying it though, I loved it. Patrick Doyle's slow songs were heartwarming and his angstier songs were really terrifying, expemplifying the mood of the film excellently.
HIghly recommended. And even though John was not in here, you can still feel his presence somehow.
Free Music Review: Different... But Good!! Hit: 5 Stars
Well it was kind of disappointing when I found out that John Williams wasn't composing the score for the film, but Patrick Doyle did do a pretty good job! It isn't really the typical "Harry Potter" score. I didn't find this as magical as the other three were, but this one is full of energy! And I don't really know what's with the last three tracks... But the good outdoes the bad! So all in all it's a great CD, and it's really worth buying!!
Free Music Review: Perfect Hit: 5 Stars
This Harry Potter soundtrack is by far my favorite of the four. The music reflects the the excitement of the Quidditch World Cup, the conflict within the three Triwizard tasks, and most to my liking, the beauty and magic of the Yule Ball.
I don't believe it is such a crime that John Williams' previous themes weren't used more. Patrick Doyle has created new melodies that fit this film so well. The music is beautiful.
