I remember seeing Heart for the first time when they were the back up group for the Doobie Brothers in the late 70's. I fell in love with them then and now almost 40 years later, I realize what an awesome band they were and still are. They're music, Ann on vocals, Nancy on guitar, phenomenal. They are an inspiration to all female artists out there. If you are a true Heart fan or one that is just finding them, you will love this CD, it has everything. I am so glad I purchased it and I love listening to it when I'm taking my walks, cleaning the house or just wanting to listen to a great band.Free Music Review: Essential Heart

This is a must listen album. I recommend this album to anyone, whether or not your a Heart fan. Every time I listen to this album it relaxes me or even excites me. It makes me feel alive and full of energy i can't describe in words it is that good. I could go on and on about how exhilarating this album is but I think its time for others to hear it for themselves. So anyone who is a Heart fan I know you will love it. Anyone who is not yet a Heart fan, buy it and just listen to it. I'm telling you right now its going to make you a believer!!!Free Music Review: Excellent choice for rockin' out!

If you plan on going for a long drive at night at high speeds (or during the day with the windows down), disc 1 is the cd to bring along. It can be played real loud and is easy to sing along to. Before I bought this I knew the standards (Crazy on You, Barracuda, Magic Man) With this cd, I've come to love Heartless and Love Alive and the others.Disc 2 is also pretty good, but those songs aren't really why I got the thing. If you buy this compilation, you won't really need to buy anything else by Heart...ever!

As a 48 yr. old female rocker, I am in awe of Ann and Nancy Wilson. And now that they are back, I feel a piece of myself that has been missing for so long has been returned. These women are the epitemy of what good rock music is about. Anyone reading this review should seriously listen to all their music and I'm sure they will find the spirit and soul of these girls to be encouraging and totally fulfilling. Don't bother reading this. Yes, I have this package, the DEFINITIVE one. But the monkeyspanker reviewers here have trivialized it beyond belief. I recommend this compilation, but wait, wait, I think I see another one coming over the horizon! And I think there's another one behind IT! I don't think there will be an improvement on this one. But, maybe you'll want to wait. The next one is getting closer.
