Free Music Review: MOON A ROCK AND ROLL LOVER!
Hit: 5 Stars

I love all music ever done by Heart. I've loved Heart ever since I first heard them in in the 70's and saw them in my home town Austin, Texas in the late 70's. Ann Wilson in the best Rock and Roll Babe singer ever! Ann, never quit giving us, your fans, what you have for many years, your incredible voice and music. Also, the reason I'm writing is in response to a note written by a customer titled Familiar Stranger Jan 26 2003 reviewer A Music Fan from Maryland. The customer was asking about a song and who sung it. The actual name is 'Stranger' and it's done by Jefferson Starship. I quickly recognized the song and lyrics because I too happen to love that song. I'm not sure what studio album it's on but I know it's not on the 'Winds of Change' or 'Freedom at Point Zero' albums. I do have it on their CD titled 'Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/Starship', it's on Disc 2. I do hope this helps as I am truly a big fan of great music. Free Music Review: Heart is one of my all time favorite bands
Hit: 5 Stars

Heart was my very first concert I saw back in the early '90s. Ann and Nancy Wilso so rocked my world when I was in high school. I liked their early material but my most favorite music they did was in the '80s through the early '90s. Finally there is a greatest hits of their more popular material that does this band justice. Their last greatest hits cd was a complete disappointment and left out a lot of great songs off of "Desire Walks On" and "Brigade".

My one sole problem with this greatest hits is that "Secret" is nowhere to be found on this cd. I love that song, and I know that it was the last single released off "Brigade". Other than that, I was quite pleased to hear a studio version of "You're the Voice" as well as "Black on Black II" and "Back to Avalon". I thought that Ann's Duet with Robin Zander of Cheap Trick was rather cheesy but it was still good nevertheless. This cd is excellent for any casual Heart fan or diehard fan.

Free Music Review: Great Music, Great Songs
Hit: 5 Stars

This album captures Heart's pop music peak of the mid 80's into the early 90's. Of course, they had already had success in the rock field. This album features their biggest pop hits and it's a great collection. It features an impressive eight top 10 hits and 12 top 40 singles. The two #1's are my personal favorites and those are the incredible "These Dreams" and the powerhouse "Alone." "Alone" to this day reminds one of my favorite songs. It's unforgetable and an 80's power-ballad classic. Other highlights include the opening track "What About Love," "There's the Girl," and the huge but contreversial hit "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You." Even the Robert Zander/ Ann Wilson duet "Surrender To Me" is present which was a top 10 hit.

This album is a definite must-have. These girls had some great songs and great pipes to back them up.

Free Music Review: Great Songs - Stale Production
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought this on a lark because I have been enjoying Jupiter Darling and the first greatest hits collection.

I have to say I'm surprised that the quality of songs is equally high, though more adult contemporary and less hard rocking than early Heart.

Like many other groups striving to maintain their popularity, Heart adopted production techniques that ultimately dated a huge portion of their catalog sampled here. Reverb-laden "big room" drumming abounds as do painful synth parts - many of which substitute for Nancy Wilson's always tasteful guitar arrangements. Its a real shame.

If I were Ann and Nancy, I would re-record almost every tune on this collection with their touring band. Heart is at the top of the musical power, why leave this great material to historical novelty?
