Being of the generation that wouldn't remember Heart's earlier successes, I enjoyed this CD immensely. It's really refreshing to see two women take on Rock n Roll with such vigor and make a name for themselves doing just that. My favorite Heart song is always going to be "These Dreams", which is on this collection. I do feel that it was a mistake to include Surrender To Me. It just seems out of place. Heart had some great songs between the years 1985-1995. Even though their signature sound was dropped for radio-friendly singles, some how the formula worked. Heart became a household name with songs like: These Dreams, All I Wanna do is Make Love to You, Stranded, Never, What About Love, Alone, and many more. Ann and Nancy Wilson are the ultimate rock sisters. Ann's voice just gives me chills. I highly recommend this classic album. This cd is a good recap of their 1985-1995 (hence the title...) years, but, I would have loved to see Ann's solo semi-hit BEST MAN IN THE WORLD from 1986, SECRET from 1990, the remix of I WANT YOU SO BAD from 1987, and the single version of THESE DREAMS from 1985 all included. The mid 80's to early 90's was Heart's commercial peak. These are not their best songs, but they are the ones that were big hit singles. Very well crafted and expertly executed, these songs dominated pop radio at the time. I was thrilled to get this recording because I have their original VCR from 1985 that I love. The newer numbers I wasn't that impressed with. So, my purchase was basically to take them with me when I travel in my car, and relive their original hits.
