Free Music Notes for Queer As FolkFree Music Review: Excellent Club Music! Hit: 4 Stars
WOW! I was amazed of how great this CD was! I absolutley LOVE all of the songs on this album. I especially have to thank showtime and the cast members of QAF, because without them there wouldn't be a QAF Soundtrack! haha. But, anyway...my favorite songs on this album are: "Dive in the pool"..."You think you're a man"..."Lovin' You"..."Crying at the discoteque"...Start rockin'..."Do Ya (Feel the love)"...and "Let's hear it for the boy"...I would really recommend this album to anyone who loves club music, and the showtime series QAF! eeeeekkkkk! I can hardly wait to get the next QAF soundtrack, well that is if there will be another one. (and I know there will be!)
Free Music Review: Good Enough Hit: 4 Stars
I am addicted to QAF not just because of Brian Kinney. The music presented in the show is so fresh and sexy that you could actually feel how it would be like in the legendary Babylon.
If you count it, there're 10+ songs played per episode. SO you are looking at at least 200 songs for the entire season. And it is a tough job to pick some and fit in a soundtrack disc. We all have our own favs. Well, mine will be all the music from episode 20 (king of Babylon contest).
And I think,if someone asked, when Brian and Mike were playing bowling, the song in the background is called "Let Forever Be" by Chemical Brothers.
Free Music Review: great soundtrack for great tv series Hit: 4 Stars
this soundtrack is great cause its not the typical old gay themed soundtracks with all the disco crap i liked this soundtrack cause it has a sance feel to it and i also liked the the remake of"lets hear it for the boy"which to me its the best on the disc whats also cool about this soundtrack is the first track of the disc also ends the disc which is the opening theme from the show the only problem i had with the cd was the packaging i hate the back cover of the album its too ugly they put some ugly dude whos not even a cast memeber in my opinion they shouldve used the entire cast over all this disc is great buy it now
Free Music Review: Take me to Babylon! Hit: 4 Stars
OK, it rocks. And unlike the CD from the 2nd Season, you recognize music from the episodes. The music is rather disjointed from track to track, however, and I was not really inspired to listed to this CD over and over again, like I was with the 2nd Season CD. The 2nd Season CD is a cohesive, continuous dance mix - the 1st Season CD is nothing more than what it claims to be - the theme from the show (twice, which is redundant) and some tunes from the show. It's good - not great.
Free Music Review: Some pretty good beats Hit: 4 Stars
I haven't seen Queer as Folk more than a couple times, so really cannot compare the soundtrack to any aspect of the show. However, you don't need a TV to enjoy this music. The soundtrack has quite a number of songs with a good beat to them; I find myself moving along to the music whether it's the focus of my attention, or simple background music while I'm busy on the home PC or working late at the office. Upbeat, and fun!
