Free Music Notes for Heroin Diaries SoundtrackFree Music Review: Amazing!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This album has a fresh new rock sound, unlike any other album I've heard. It ranges from a slight hiphop/rock mix to piano/ballet mixes. It reaches every corner of the rock world that I love! Amazing guitars, thrashing drums, head banging combos with upstanding lyrics, and vocalist who knows how to put power behind his voice!
If your looking for something new with some 80's rock influence, then you found the perfect CD! Just because it's a "Sound tack", doesn't mean anything, I haven't read the book that goes with this yet, but I'm IN LOVE with this CD!!!
Free Music Review: Everybody Gets High, Everybody Gets Low Hit: 5 Stars
3 Cheers to Nikki Sixx for doing something outside of the box again! Nikki comes out of his closet with his skeletons and demons and shares an obviously devasting time in his life. Heroin Diaries Soundtrack is an inspirational and very gutsy work of art. It was written from the heart with no stereotypes or intentions of airplay. Kudos to Sixx for 1) Just sharing his life with his fans -- even the dark corners of it. 2) For his work with Running Wild in the Night giving hope to homeless kids. 3) For doing things that other rockstars don't -- Get Real & Be Honest!
Free Music Review: Great soundtrack for a great book. Hit: 5 Stars
I've followed everything Nikki Sixx has done since day one of Motley Crue. What a life he has had. I strongly recommend reading the book. To me Nikki can't write a bad song. I grew up listening to his music wanting to be like him in every way possible. He was cool but yet dangerous. I'm 37 and he is still on top of my cool list. Do yourself a favor and buy the book and cd. You will not be dissapointed you did. He writes from his heart and soul. I'm glad he pulled through the dark times and is still with us today to give us more great music. Thank you Nikki Sixx.
Free Music Review: Would of gave it Sixx Stars if possible Hit: 5 Stars
Nikki's Sixx:A.M. band includes guitarist DJ Ashba who co-founded the band Beautiful Creatures. Vocalist James Michael who is a producer who produced many artist such as Motley Crue, Alanis Morissette, Saliva, Scorpions and Meatloaf to name a few.
This is one amazing CD as Nikki speaks in between a few tracks as he reads from his diary.
Some of the standout songs are "Life Is Beautiful", "Pray For Me" "Girl With Golden Eyes" This CD is a favorite of mine. Sixx AM doesn't sound like any Motley Crue album. I would love to hear more from Sixx AM.
Free Music Review: Brilliant, way beyond what you expect Hit: 5 Stars
The fact that this goes along with the book, is amazing. I've read the book and played the CD along with it, and it really does add to the experience. The music stands up strong by itself, and Nikki Sixx could have a really strong run releasing CD's by Sixx Am in the future.
I tried this whole book/CD approach with the Chris Jericho book "Around The World in Spandex" with the new Fozzy CD/DVD All That Remains Reloaded, and oddly enough it was very cool...though I like the Fozzy CD just slightly more than the Sixx AM...but their both great releases.
