Free Music Notes for Heroin Diaries SoundtrackFree Music Review: Nikki Sixx Rocks (again!) Hit: 5 Stars
This is an excellent CD!!! I keep playing it over and over. This is the soundtrack for the book "The Heroin Diaries" by Nikki Sixx. I purchased both the book and CD at the same time. If you like Motley Crue and Nikki Sixx you will love this CD and the book. Nikki Sixx is a very talented songwriter and musician and once again does not let his fans down.
The profits from Nikki's book are donated to his charity Running Wild in the Night with Covenant House that helps runaway kids. Just one more reason to definitely buy the book along with the CD!!! It is wonderful to see a celebrity who has gone down the dark road of addiction come full circle to recovery and then use his position and influence to try and help others. Thumbs up to Nikki Sixx for being brave enough to expose his weakness in the hope of helping others!!
I highly recommend this CD!!!
Free Music Review: My Heroin Diaries Review Hit: 5 Stars
From what I have read of Nikki Sixx' book so far it is totally amazing that he is still here to share his story and I consider him a true HERO for sharing his experience during that difficult time of his life. The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack is an absolute masterpiece and I just can't seem to want to listen to anything else. It was put together so perfectly and is very moving. The first time I heard the CD I cried because of my knowledge of the story behind it. I want to share his story with everyone. Nikki Sixx, D.J. Ashba and James Michael are the perfect team for this musical experience that has been created and James Michael has the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard in my life. I absolutely adore each and every one of them. My final opinion: The book and the soundtrack deserve MAJOR AWARDS and my best wishes to them from my heart are here forever.
Free Music Review: One of the most unique albums ever released. Hit: 5 Stars
This album starts of with Nikki Sixx talking about an extremely low point in his life. No album I have ever heard starts off on a bad note, but this one does. This album has balls and such brutal honesty that it is amazing to hear it. I think Nikki Sixx really wants to help people with this album and I think he will succeed there. This album is the soundtrack to The Heroin Diaries book, so it get's pretty heavy and could be considered a 'real life' concept album for heroin addiction and recovery. There are some fantastic songs on this album that take you from the lows to actually being inspiring. If you were looking for something different to listen to than all of your other rock albums then this one is going to be completely different than anything you have heard before, but at the same time will be one of the best albums you have ever heard.
Free Music Review: Sixx Stars Hit: 5 Stars
While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, it blows my mind that there are a fair share of poor reviews of this album. This is the best album of the year!!!! I don't find it all that dark. A lot of the songs are very melodic and uplifting. The spoken word sections are creative and fresh. Not just another rock album, but a journey. All of the songs serve a purpose, and there's not a filling song in the bunch.
Nikki's book also had a big impact on me as well. I've never taken drugs. But I decided to take a weekend, and read it in just a couple of sittings. Staying up all night, having some beers. Staying up with diet Coke. Reading that book in my mini SIKKI state was really cool. The book gave me a glimpse of what it might have felt like to experience that type of nightmare.
Free Music Review: Amazing Hit: 5 Stars
The critic obviously has no idea what he is talking about or what the music is about. Nikki Sixx has told a most amazing story the has the ability to help so many people suffering from the same types of addiction. The fact that he was able to do it musically is absolutely brilliant.
In the future the critic should not do reviews on subjects he knows absolutely nothing about. Unless you have dealt with an addiction or someone trying to cope with an addiction, some of this may be too deep. But for any one who has, it is right on the money and beautifully done.
I guess the critic could possibly be in denial of his own addiction, or anyone else that did not understand the depth of the story, which in turn this would rub them the wrong way.
