Free Music Notes for Heroin Diaries SoundtrackFree Music Review: My new favorite band Hit: 5 Stars
The whole cd is perfect! Not one bad song.Burning a cd from a real mainstream band doesn't feel so bad.But this band isn't a big mainstream band that is played on MTV all the time,etc..So paying for the music is worth it.I don't have a fave song. They are all good. The book is the best book I ever read! The whole band is hot, which is very cool. The production was insanely phenomenal! Very tight arrangements.Theatrical, creative, very unique sound, passinate, dreamy.Lyrics from the heart.Still wish Nikki would allow private messages on his MySpace page since I don't want to share my most personal review to the world on his comment page. But this cd touched my heart!
Free Music Review: A Great Rock Album. Period. Hit: 5 Stars
It's easy to get caught up in the origins of this album - Motley Crue's bass player, Rock n' Roll drug addiction, rehab, etc. However, if you free yourself to look at this as a standalone album, it is one of the most powerful, heartfelt expressions of rock to be released in the last 10 years.
The songs are heavy, but melodic. Stories of addiction, hopelessness, and recovery are voiced poetically by Nikki Sixx over powerful music. Others are sung masterfully by James Michael. The end result? A moving, nearly flawless rock album that keeps you coming back over and over. Each time, a new layer peels off.
Enjoy.
Free Music Review: Creative Effort Hit: 5 Stars
To begin with, I think the fellow that wrote the official Amazon review for this album would probably have to click the NO bottom at the top of this "Create Your Review" page to the question of Are you over 13? On the contrary, this effort is MUCH more mature and developed than the fist pumping hard rock that Mr Amazon must love. The songs exhibit better song writing, and although the verse can be a little heavy, it gets your attention. Of course an album about herioin addiction SHOULD have heavy lyrics don't you think?. I would advise anyone who is a little tired of the same ole-same ole to pick this one up and give a listen.
Free Music Review: Amazing! Hit: 5 Stars
Simply put this album is amazing. I was never a big Motley Crue fan, and never really payed much attention to any of the members and what they were/are doing. For some reason I picked up this album, I think after maybe hearing an interview with Sixx on my local radio station. I thought "hmmm sounds like an interesting concept, a soundtrack to a book." So I bought the album, and absolutly love it. One of the best albums I've heard in a while. It's emotional, it's depressing at times, uplifting at others. Finally an album that makes me feel something and moves me. Plus I can't get "courtesy call" out of my head.
Free Music Review: Life IS beautiful!!! The BEST cd EVER!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Being in recovery for 7 years this wonderful work touches the very depths of my soul every time I play it, every song. This is the most meaningful composition of my lifetime, I feel your pain and your Joy Nikki! I think a lot of people don't really appreciate life and its immense beauty, being rescued from the horrors and degradation of addiction gives us (addicts) a whole new perspective on life. After all, we have danced with the death of our spirits, far more painful than death itself- some of us will die in our disease, some of us are fortunate enough to grow up. Thank you Nikki!
