Free Music Review: the best dcom made ever
Hit: 5 Stars

"High School Musical" is easily the best DCOM ever made. Here are the songs:

1. Start of Something New~ (Great opening song. I listen to this song a lot!)
2. Get'cha Head In The Game~ (Great dance number. These guys are really talented, to get on beat and everything!)
3. What I've Been Looking For~ (I like this song, but not as much as the others. It's a little to poppy and annoying for me, and Sharpay sounds horrible in this song)
4. What I've Been Looking For (Reprise)~ (Way better then the Ryan & Sharpay version. Their really good on this song)
5. Stick to the Status Quo~ (A really good dance number. This song reminds of a song that might be on Broadway or something. It's good!)
6. When There Was Me And You~ (When I watched the movie, I didn't like it. But when I got the CD and kept listening to it, I really loved it! Gabriella is really good on this song!)
7. Bop To The Top~ (Way better then their "What I've Been Looking For". It delivers a more salsa side and I love these kinds of songs!)
8. Breaking Free~ (Def. the best song on the CD! This song is amazing, it's so good! You can tell that when you reach this song, it's the climax!)
9. We're All In This Together~ (I also love this song. It is a great ending song, because it is just so catchy.)
10. I Can't Take My Eyes Off You~ (This song isn't in the movie, but I guess it's pretty good.)
11. Get'cha Head In The Game by B5~ (OMG! this song is AWFUL!!! why would they ever put B5 on this cd? It ruined it!!! Without this song, this CD woulda been 5 stars. Bad choice, Disney Channel.)

As you can see, I loved every song except "Get'cha Head In The Game by B5". It's an amazing CD, you should get it!!!

Free Music Review: AMAZING!
Hit: 5 Stars

All I can say is, "WOW!" This soundtrack is absolutely amazing. It brings in the vocal stylings of Zach Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgeons, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, and the rest of the High School Musical cast. I would have never thought of Vanessa Anne Hudgeons as a singer, but when I heard her, again, I thought WOW. Her solo ballad, "When There Was Me and You", was absolutely amazing. She hit every note and had a great tone... I think she is the best singer on this album followed by Zach Efron, Ashley Tisdale, and Lucas Grabeel. Don't get me wrong, they've all got their merits, but Vanessa is just so talented!!! I wouldn't be surprised if she came out with her own solo album... The duets with Vanessa and Zach are all so powerful; I can listen to them a million times and never get tired of them. "Breaking Free", "Start of Something New", and "What I Was Looking For (Reprise)", all are sung with so much power that when you sing along, you'd surely sing like Mariah Carey would. Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel's duet "What I Was Looking For" is very entertaining and is really easy to listen to. It has an upbeat tempo to it and I always find myself singing along to it. Zach and Vanessa's version of it was more of a ballad and they performed it great as well. "We're All In This Together" is really an upbeat song featuring all of the main characters and has a great message to it.

All in all, this soundtrack is well worth the money. I'm absolutely positive that you will enjoy listening to this CD. The movie premieres tonight at 8 PM (I'm Pacific Time), and I am very much anticipating it. I'm so jumpy right now; I just set the VCR to record it. I can't wait!

Free Music Review: High School Memories
Hit: 5 Stars

I watched this show with my 14 & 9 year old and I do have to say Disney did a great job of making a fun, clean, and very memorable movie. I in my 40's brought back the memories of when I was in high school and keeping up with the status quo and how this movie helped turn it all around by breaking free from those status quo's.
This movie has helped tremendously with our middle school kids. The teachers says that you can hear the kids in the halls singing these songs from the movie which is very uplifting to them since they were getting tired of hearing the rap. They are catching the kids that are heavy into rap, singing these songs since they do have a good beat and rythym and keeping to what the teens enjoy listening to.
I do realize that these songs were recorded with technical help. But with their voices being softened it made the songs sound beautiful with the images of the kids they picked to sing these songs. Gabby and Troy were the best since their's was more toward the romance of the plot. Ryan and Sharpay were considered the villians of the movie and for the way they sang and blended together, they were great as well. As the group all together you can definitely tell they practiced a lot on the songs and dance.
I as a parent enjoyed this movie as much as my kids did and yes at times I catch myself singing along with the kids when they are singing their songs. The songs grab you to where you can't help but sing along. A top honor show in my opionion for the family to watch. Thanks Disney for making a great family show.

Free Music Review: High School Musical
Hit: 5 Stars

All of these songs are good! But some are better than others.

My top 3 are: Bop to the Top, I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You, & Stick to the Status Quo.

Both versions of What I've Been Looking For are good yet Ryan & Sharpay's is better. I think that is because the song is faster.

The B5 Get'cha Head in the Game is not very good and the orignal is MUCH better.

While When There Was Me and You is very pretty and a good song it's kinda depressing and doesn't match the up-beat plot and music the rest of the movie has.

I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You is a very underated song. I for one liked it very much and its my 2nd favorite song in the movie.

Bop to the Top is my numero uno song of the CD. I like it alot and try to memorize the words.

Start of Something New is a nice song and fits in well but somehow doesn't excite me very much in the way my favorites do.

Breaking Free is a very pretty song. While I may not understand 100% why it is better than Bop to the Top I like it.

We're All in This Together is not very good at all. While it fits in where it is, it is just not very good.

Stick To the Status Quo is a very good song and is my #3 favorite on the CD. Sharpay and Ryan's part sticks in my head and I love it when Sharpays screams " Everybody quiet" yet the students continue to sing!

That is my opinion and I have included a few words on each song. Bottom line? BUY IT!!!!!

Free Music Review: FANTABULOUS!
Hit: 5 Stars

i wish i could give this cd more than 5 stars because its probably the BEST disney cd i've ever gotten. just look at amazon's sales rank! though i have to say that i dont think that ashley tisdale showcased her voice in this movie. thus proving the ashley tisdale mob right. they predicted that like the battle of the bands episode of zack and cody, ashley tisdale's voice wouldn't stand out. i'm not saying its bad, but if other people weren't singing, then she obviously would be recognized.

but anyways, i think venessa anne hudgens can control her vocals, although she can't climb octaves, but she's only 17, and i think her voice matches her character and everything. it's just one of those bubblegum cuteness. now, the BESTEST part, zac efron, i wonder how come they never get him to sing in summerland. he's awesome! though i still cannot imagine him having a cd, but i think his voice is awesome for the duets...it's just..perfect. zac and venessa's voices just blends in sooo beautifully.

now for "the other one" whom i still think doesn't get that much attention -- lucas gabreel. his vocals are amazing! he needs soo much more acknoledgement

now for the movie, i have to say the best in a long time. there's a hint of romance, but you don't see anybody making out or anything. but its a kid-friendly movie that i absolutely adore.

i encourage the movie and the soundtrack to anyone who's looking for a disney movie with original songs that actually sounds good!
