Free Music Review: HSM Album, and Zac's Voice

I Love this movie and this album. These people who sing it have amazing voices and amazing talent. I do though have to say that while Zac Efron is an amazingly talented actor, he barely sings on this album. He doesn't sing Get'cha Head in the Game and What I've Been Looking For (Reprise) At all. He only sings,"We're Soarin, Flyin, There's not a star in Heaven that we can reach," (at the beginning) in Breaking Free and only sings the very beginning and end in Start of Something New. He sings a little bit in I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You and We're all in this together and even then he doesn't sing Troy's part, he sings with the chorus. The person who does sing 95% of Zac's songs is Drew Seeley. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Zac is a bad singer (I think he's an awesome one) but just merely stating a fact. I am an avid DCOM watcher. Whenever there is a new DCOM, I turn on the tv and tune in. Half the time, I am very disappointed. A good number of times, I am pleased, but I am aware that these movies are television movies for a reason. When I watched this movie, I was shocked to encounter something so raw but so great from Disney. Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Gabreel did an excellent job of singing their songs. Vanessa Ann Hudgens and Zac Efron surprised me with how well they were able to adjust to this singing/dancing environment. The best song on this track (vocals-wise) is "Start of Something New." I believe every single one of these young actors is going to be getting a lot more attention as a result of this movie and soundtrack. Every track is great, and every performance was even better (on television). Here's a 5-star! My kids (daughter 8 and son 6) loved the movie and now love the music CD. They both (me too) like to sing along in the car with it. It is good, upbeat, clean music. The vocals are outstanding. Those kids are really talented. They are POSITIVE role models, unlike Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, (ironically they started out with Disney, lol)I also appreciate that it is not like rap music, which I never cared for. The songs are all good, we don't have to skip around to find a good song. The words are all innocent--no swearing or sex talk, it really is geared to younger kids and tweens. All of my daughters friends loved the movie and sing the songs all the time. I'm looking forward to the movie release. The dancing in the movie is "cool" and mom-approved. No thrusting, grinding and things like that, lol. We will buy the movie when it comes out may 23.Free Music Review: very good soundtrack

this is a very good soundtrack.I like the song the start of something new,get'cha head in the game,what i've been looking for,what i've been looking for (reprise),stick to the status quo,when there was me and you,bob to the top,breaking free,We're All In This Together,I Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You, Get'cha Head In The Game B5 and Get'cha Head In The Game - B5 plus you can sing karaoke of the songs breaking free and the start of something new and it gives you words to all the songs it has a great singing cast like Zac Efron playing Troy Bolton Vanessa Anne Hutchinson playing Gabriella Montez Lucas Grabeel playing Ryan Evans Ashley Tisdale playing Sharpay Evans and much more even my mom liked the soundtrack and she doesen't really like disney soundtracks this is a really good soundtack. and if u seen the movie and liked it this is a good cd for you.Free Music Review: Best DCOM Soundtrack!

I am an avid Disney Channel watcher and I tend to watch some of the new DCOMs that come out. Most of them are eh, so-so and rather predictable. However, High School Musical "bops to the top!" All of the actors are magnificent and the songs vary in the style. There are some ballads, hip-hop, "show tune" style, and so much more. I also think the dancing is AWESOME!!!!
The acting is great. Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, and Zac Efron all star in this musical. And they all sing their own songs (pre recorded yes, but still great!!!!). Their dancing is wonderful as well. Kenny Ortega directed AND choreographed the movie.
So, what you need to do is watch the movie on Disney and buy the soundtrack...I have listened to it several times now and have yet to get tired of it. It's a worth while purchase.
