Hillsongs United has put out their best work in 'All of the Above', their first and only studio album. All other recordings have been live and in front of tens of thousands of fired up Australian youth. This studio album provides an intimate look at the real musicality of the band and their music. Praise and worship can be tricky - it isn't difficult to perform, and it is created strictly for others to reproduce. All praise and worship albums are immediately followed by lead sheets, chord charts and 'karaoke' tracks, especially Hillsongs. Hence, most Hillsongs albums are recorded live in their worship services. Putting out a studio album is really unusual, and it is a really great album. Their musicianship is amazing and combined with a purpose - worship - it is so uplifting. This is an incredible worship experience.Free Music Review: Doesn't get much better than this...

Okay, I thought they couldn't top last years album, 'The Stand'....AMAZING. Then along comes this. Okay, took a little while to grow on me, but all I can say is listen to 'Devotion' WITH the lyrics....it WILL make you cry!
Brooke Fraser also did an amazing job yet again with 'Lead me to the Cross' and 'Hosanna' (latter is also on the new live Hillsong album 'Saviour King', also on THIS album).
I reckon Joel and the team will go a long way with this ongoing project- oh, and the DVD 'The I Heart Revolution' is inspiring- all the more so as I'm working in a poor area of rural China!

I've heard that this album is less than satisfying because it is not a live recording. All I can say to that is it's far from the truth. The Hillsong United don't lose their touch and they pull it off again...creating an authentic and brilliant set of worship anthems that are already being sung around the globe. Hosanna, Devotion, Point of Difference, and Saviour King are at the top of my list.Free Music Review: All of the Above

A wonderfully creative studio album, something rarely done by one of the best alternative Christian music groups of our time, who are known mostly for their international live albums. The songwriting, musicianship, production and flow of the album are all top-notch; the message is also inspiring and uncompromisingly Christ-centered. There is not a single filler song. This is a great collection of essays by people of the highest level of intellectual abiblity and achievement, who have not run away from the serious questions that might seem to challenge Christian faith. The book effectively dispels the myth that serious thinkers cannot be Christians.
