Free Music Review: Worth All The Money Spent

This CD, out of all the HIM CDs I own (which would be 3) is one that connected to me the most.
Songs such as "Salt In Our Wounds" that have a great guitar solos to softer more ballad like songs like "Close To The Flame" really put this CD together.
If I had to choose 3 songs that would probably grab other peoples attention, they'd probably be "Pretending", "In Joy And Sorrow", and "Beautiful". But that's just my opinion.
Overall, this CD is worth all the money I spent. HIM is one of my most favorite bands, besides all the other rock bands I love to listen to. They definitely pulled it off on this CD.

I could go into a long essay about this album, but I won't. I must say that I love every song on this album, some less than others, but I do love all of them.
A great listen, and though some would say that Razorblade Romance is a better album, I'd have to disagree. Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights is much more refined and elegant (and underrated, if you ask me), and appealed a lot more to my tastes. I feel HIM brought their best into every song on this album, and they really take you through a range of emotions with the different sounds of each song.
If you're looking for an introduction to this wonderful group, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this album for your first.

Have you been properly introduced to H.I.M. yet? What are you waiting for?! This album, IMO, is the best album to get acquainted with their music. This album is kick a** from the door...not one bad song on it. This album solidified my commitment as now being forever a fan. You don't have to be GOTH to like this music. It is straight up melodic rock with catchy choruses and harmonies. The lyrics this guy writes will blow you mind. It captures you like nothing else could in music today. The sound of this band is what has been missing with the rock world for many years now. BUY IT PEOPLE!!Free Music Review: A must have for HIM fans!

Recently, I ordered every HIM CD I did not have. All I had was Razorblade Romance and Dark Light. This is the first of the ones that I ordered, and I must say, this is an amazing album!
It shows the deep and beautiful side of Ville's voice, and has slower songs. (which I love) It's a lot different than, say, Razorblade Romance. But, it's still a wonderful album. You might even get goosebumps from Ville's voice, I actually did on the last song. I definitly recommend this to ANY HIM FAN. A wonderful album, with wonderful structure.

Free Music Review: Another HIM classic

I'm a fairly new HIM fan, and in the short 3 months I've even known about them they've in my mind went from being completely unknown (other than a few Viva La Bam episodes), to being my favorite band. This album is excellent, as are all of their albums, the songs are beautifully crafted, with deep, meaningful lyrics. Many people have the misconception that you'll only like HIM if you're goth, this is not true at all. I'm not goth and I think HIM is the best band in the world right now.
