Free Music Review: Love Metal touches the soul

One of the most beautifully composed albums that I own; Love Metal is one of HIM's greatest accomplishments (in my opinion) since Razor Blade Romance. The band has the ability to reach across musical genres in a way that no other can, thus the self categorized genre of "Love Metal". The rest of my personal collection consists of death metal and goth as well as classical music. This album caught my ears as I became obsessed with the band after hearing Razorblade Romance. Some of the epic tracks that stand out on this album are "The Path" and "Fortress of Tears" which are emotional to say the least; bringing out both love and pain in the listener. The Heartagram the band uses is perfect for this music because it does touch the listener in the most tender and painful parts of the soul. In literally less than a week, HIM has become my favorite band ever. This c.d. is great. Europe really knows what the hell they are doing over there when it comes to composing music. I haven't bought Razorblade Romance yet, but I will very soon, because I have heard even greater things about that c.d. than this one. Most of the songs on this c.d. are very pleasing to the ear, and no screaming at all...which is one the reasons I fell in love with this band. There are a few songs on here that I would consider "filler", but I couldn't take a star away for that because of the quality of the rest of the music. Definitely buy this c.d. if you are an HIM fan or just want to try somthing new, you will not regret it.Free Music Review: Love Metal

I'll admit, I heard about H.I.M. from Bam Margera. But that's because I was only allowed to listen to that pop fluff kind of music for as long as I can remember. Then, I was allowed to listen to different types of music. I heard "Soul on Fire" off this album, and was like, "Wow, this song's amazing." I had to go out and buy this album if the other songs were this good. After listening to it, I was amazed. This album is genius. I can definately say that this is one of the best albums I've ever heard, and that is coming from me, not the opinion of Bam Margera, and not the opinion of my mom. Me. I recently saw HIM live and fell in love. Soon after, I bought all the CD's that I didn't have including this one and it is now one of my favorites. I love all of HIM's CD's but this one is one of the best if not my favorite. It is HIM at their best and is a good choice if you are looking to discover this band or just want to buy one of their CD's and not the whole collection. The best songs are "Buried Alive By Love" and "The Sacrament." If you enjoy this CD and are looking to get some more HIM I suggest "Razorblade Romance" or "Dark Light."Free Music Review: HIM's Masterpiece

"Love Metal" by HIM is one of my favorite albums. It is dark, but beautiful at the same time. Which is what they are going for. And they achieved Brilliance with this album. It achieves a very good balance between uipbeat songs and ballads, a couple mixing the two. To make it short, if you like HIM, or you are interested in them whatsover, and maybe jst want to see what they are all about, BUY THIS ALBUM.
