Free Music Review: HIM is finally in the U.S.!

HIM's second release is finally re-released in the U.S. (again). This version is a little different from the original European releases because it includes the classic Chris Isaak cover Wicked Game, and the song Your Sweet 666 both off of HIM's first CD (Greatest Lovesongs Volume 666) So many people with different music preferabilities enjoy HIM. They are the perfect mix of metal and love ballads, (hence their musical label of Love Metal, which also happens to be their newest album released in europe) This CD has the perfect mix of fast catchy music to the slow love songs, and Ville Valo's voice is wonderful. He can hit so many notes...About this CD being parental advisory: Ignore it, the PA is on their because of song number 3. Join Me (In Death) which is metaphorical, but the label insisted it was a song hinting suicide. But if you are ready for a change, definalty check out this CD, and look out for HIM, because they are definatly going to blow up.

That's what HIM is like. Sort of like a perfect skeletal wings with a few feathers clinging to it. They are a mixture of beautiful and disturbing.
Ville's vocals are extradinary. The arrangements are excellent. This is the sort of band 15 year olds can like as well as their parents because the music is so well arranged and catchy.
Take Heaven Tonight for example.
What an excellent song from start to finish. This lovely opening bassline. The chorus of it and the way Ville's voice just sounds sweet and lovely. It's such a deeply romantic and intense song.
Another great song is Bury Me Deep in Your Heart. Very intense, Ville sings with such feeling in it.
Buy this CD and any other CD of H.I.M. Though I cannot understand why it has an explicit lyrics CD as Ville as far as I can tell doesn't even seem to use the F word in songs.

Razorblade Romance was the first CD I bought from this group & I only bought it because I was watching Viva la Bam & a song came on that was incredible beyond words & this CD cover was in the jukebox that the song was playing on. So, after weeks of searching I finally found the CD & bought it hoping that the song I had heard was on it. I played it as soon as I got in my car & the first song that played was it...Your Sweet 666. Ever since my "HIM cherry" was popped I have been addicted! I just can't seem to get into any other band, even ones that I used to be wrapped up in. I love the fact that Ville isn't afraid to say what he is feeling in their songs. Thank you to Bam who got me started and thanks to Ville, Burton, Mige, Linde, & Gas for their amazing talents that they are so gracious to share with the world.Free Music Review: oh my god

this is by far one of the best cds of all time. HIM, which i recently discovered from a friend, is the best band i have ever heard and is blessed with one of the most talented singers of all time. Ville is one of my heros he has such range in his voice as you can tell in his deep voiced gothic love song "Gone With the Sin" to his more light-hearted "Heavan Tonight." They also have a lot of change in music type in this cd, from the full on onslaughts of "Razorblade Kiss" and "Sigilium Diaboli" to the mellowed down "Heavan Tonight" and "Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart." Another thing to note is HIMs cover of Chris Isacs "Wicked Game" which i personally think is better than the original. HIM is another one of those bands you might judge by the cover, just by looking at Ville Valo smoking a cigarette and hands in his pockets...but this CD is awesome! By listening to this CD, you really can see The Doors in this band. Just by looking at Ville, you can see a little bit of Jim Morrison in him. This band is a awesome band, it rocks out loud, and the songs rock! Buy this cd...forget the Parental Advisory on there(its there cause most of the songs are about death) I recommend listening to 'Right Here In My Arms' for you people who like a gothic rock love song, or 'Wicked Game' for you Chris Issak fans, or even the ever popular 'Join Me' for you people who just wanna rock out to a great band. But believe me, you'll love this CD...so go out and buy it and support HIM!
