Free Music Review: Truly Beautiful Music!
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow!! Holly has an incredible voice-she reminds me of a rockin' Dido, and the sweetness of Sarah McLachlan. Which proves to be an excellent taste of music. There are no tracks here, that are less then stellar-all are at least an eight of ten, even a few elevens. My absolute favs are: Still love (the instrumentals in it are perfect-and I relate so much to her words-I find this one quite spiritual), Heavy, Wanted, What I wouldn't give (again, the instrumentals are great in this one), Giving it up for you.
Saturdays,(both suprisingly peaceful and upbeat at the same time), and the title track, Like Blood like Honey. And Curious.

All will be forgotten-the more I listen to it, the more I love it!
Again and Again
Cellar Door (I find the lyrics are very intense on these two, but that makes the two of them really stand out)

Cellar Door, was the only one that at first listen, was a little boring-it just seemed like the only thing changing were the words, not the instruments. But now, its quickly growing on me.

I can listen to this album all day long-and its perfect for a rainy day (because its so mellow and peaceful). This CD is my all time favorite besides a few others-Holly has talent, and I have no doubt that it will take her places-I relate so much to what she is saying in so many of her songs. Which makes listening to the music, a truly spiritual experience. Upbeat, emotional, melodic, it even sounds a little blueslike, which gives her so much character and makes her sound, unique. This is truly beautiful music that touches the heart and at the same time makes you feel alive!

Free Music Review: Soothing and soulful
Hit: 5 Stars

Holly Brook has a voice of an angel. You may have recognized it from her work with Mike Shinoda of FORT MINOR, an offshoot of Linkin Park in the popular song WHERE'D YOU GO.

Turns out there's more to Holly than just her beautifully nuanced vocals. Her songwriting is melodically superb and lyrically soulful. Her interpretations are both innocent and sophisticated at the same time making for a wonderful duality. Also a multi-instrumentalist and co-producer, Holly is able to bring to fruition what she composes resulting in a stunningly mesmorizing effect.

This is a great debut collection which already seems to have hit a nerve with a wide audience. These songs will definitely wear well over time. I can hardly wait to see what she comes up with as a follow up!

PS. Almost forgot - the album art/photos are a wonderful glimpse of Holly Brook and all lyrics are included.

Free Music Review: Simply breathtaking...
Hit: 5 Stars

Best known for her vocal performance on Fort Minor's "Where'd You Go", Holly Brook has branched out on her own on this amazing debut album.
Her soothing and soulful voice seeps through to the very depths of your core; she sets your soul free, takes you on a magical journey and transports you to a place that can only be described as ethereal. Heavenly.
Her personal lyrics describe your feelings in the way you always wanted but could never find the words. Let her give your emotions the soundtrack they need to be set free.
This is a wonderfully talented young woman that will ease your soul without trying to buy it.
Allow her to take you on this magical journey. Allow her voice to slowly bleed into your soul. Allow her to transport you to an otherworldly existence. Allow her to reside inside your soul.
This album is simply beautiful and will take your breath away.

Free Music Review: Holly's Awesome!
Hit: 5 Stars

I mostly listen to much heavier music with loud guitars and thunderous drums. I also love women who really rock. Well, this album by Holly Brook is everything you could want if you listen to that type of music, but without all the heavy noise. Her lyrics are heartfelt and compelling, her voice is sweet and yet haunting, and her piano playing is just extraordinary. It's hard to describe what makes this album so great to someone who might also listen to harder music, but it's definitely one of my favorites. This is her first CD and you should definitely give it try. It will grow on you, just sit down and give it a couple listens when you want to hear something different and unique. I guarantee you will love it and want to listen to it again and again!

Free Music Review: Beautiful music from the heart...
Hit: 5 Stars

Holly Brook is one of the _very_ few artists out there that have ever touched me in the way the "Like Blood, Like Honey" does. It is the most beautiful album I have ever heard. Great for just sitting back with a glass of wine and listening too with no other distractions, or for listening to when you need inspiration. Holly's music will touch your soul and ignite a spark that cannot be calmed.

The lyrics are beautiful, the vocals are just flat out amazing, and the background (whether it be strings, piano, or anything else) is amazing. You could listen to this album a hundred times and still find something new in the songs each and every time. Well worth the money if you even have the slightest interest in this type of music.
