Its back to the basics with their self-titled release, and songs such as "Innocence" and the hidden track "Alright" will have you singing along without a care in the world. First, I would like to say Thank You Hootie!! Finally! After 4 long years, we have some new Hootie music.Ahhhh feels good. This album was worth the wait to say the least. It keeps you singing from the first song to the last. This CD has a song to appeal to everyones musical taste. From the first song, which is totally Hootie along with some a little bit of soul, a touch of country, and some plain ol' rock n roll. No one will be disappointed with this cd. I bought this cd the first day it came out. Hootie's first album selling more than 16 million copies was a huge hit. While the 2nd cd didn't sell as much...it wasn't any less "good" as the 1st. I've loved every Hootie album and this one is no exception. Darius' vocals and the band's music sounds so great in this album. With songs like "Innocence" which is their first single. "Deeper Side" and "Little Brother". I would recommend this cd to anyone, it's great.Free Music Review: Woo-hoo A+++++ CD!!!!!

I have been waiting a long time for this CD to come out and my expectations were met and then some. The band has their same sound yet there are new sounds as well and they work. 'Little Brother' is a great song that I can't wait to hear live. The guys sound like they're having so much fun with their music. The 'Soup Song' is another favorite, again a fun song to listen to. The whole CD is wonderful, definitely worth the wait!Free Music Review: Soulful and Searching

Every song on this CD is listenable, you won't reach to skip a track. Hootie has grown up and has added a further dimension to the old Hootie. There is a wonderful mix of rock, soul and southern folk from these South Carolina boys. I know they have been gone awhile but the huge success from Cracked View made them take a sanity break. I plan on seeing them in concert this year as I have for the past few. They always deliver.
