Free Music Notes for Looking for LuckyFree Music Review: The Rightful Successor to Cracked Rear View Is Here At Last Hit: 5 Stars
I'll sum up in one word: incredible. If you liked Cracked Rear View but like many were underwhelmed by their second offering, give this one a shot. The guys have finally recaptured the magic of Cracked Rear View, and in my own opinion this one may even be better. I especially love Get Out Of My Mind, a very catchy song that I can just loop and listen to forever. It's a shame that this one wasn't the actual second album, because if it was who knows what heights Hootie and the Blowfish would've reached.
Free Music Review: Return to form Hit: 5 Stars
A long time Hootie fan was delighted by the album especially when it seemed they had lost the plot during the last couple of years. Came from the UK to the USA to see them do it live and it all fits together beautifully. Musically they are are all getting better-and hopefully will be around for a while. Compared to what else is on offer-it's worth an award or two and the band being taken seriously. A very good album indeed that makes you cry, smile and dance
Free Music Review: Hootie's best effort since "Cracked Rear View" Hit: 5 Stars
Hootie finally returns to the rootsy pop rock sound that elevated them to the top of the charts in the mid 90's on this album. The band re-enlisted producer Don Gehman and collaborated with numerous nashville artists in hopes of avoiding the commercial disapointment of their 2003 self titled album. From the opening rocker "State Your Peace" to the summer anthem "One Love" this album reminds you why you fell in love with the band in the summer of 1995.
Free Music Review: THEIR BEST YET!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This album is unbelievable from top to bottom. Every song has you wanting more! From the rocking State Your Peace to the soon to be radio hit Get Outta My Mind and ending with the beautiful Waltz In To Me, this album has a song for everyone. If you liked Cracked Rear View when it came out but you got down on the band because of their popularity - GET THIS CD - you will soon be a Hootie fan again!
Have a Hootie Filled Day!
Free Music Review: Classic Hootie Hit: 5 Stars
I've bought just about everything that Hootie & The Blowfish has released. Looking For Lucky is right up there with Cracked Rearview Mirror and Fairweather Johnson. Admittedly there may not be a hit single comparable to Only Want to be With You, but Looking for Lucky has no shortage of great Hootie tunes from beginning to end. If you enjoyed Hootie's earlier first two CDs you'll probably appreciate Looking for Lucky.
