Free Music Notes for Scattered Smothered & CoveredFree Music Review: Very interesting Hit: 4 Stars
This takes you back to the whole "began as a bar band" side of Hootie and the Blowfish.
Free Music Review: Classic Hootie with clear view of the Future... Hit: 3 Stars
From the opening chord of "Fine Line" any listener can hear this is classic/pop rock at its finest. Choosing covers they built a career on, Hootie pulls the radio friendly pop of "Cracked Rear View," the maturity of "Fairweather Johnson," and the style of "Musical Chairs" and throw it into a great album. Darius Rucker continues to become one of the best rock & roll singers today - a big, gutsy, R&B-tinged baritone. Highlights include Bill Wither's "Use Me" and Kim Richey's "Let Me Be Your Man." Who cares if its not 'cool' to like Hootie - go to your local record store now, pick up this record and take a long road trip with the windows down. You won't regret it...
Free Music Review: NOT AS GOOD AS LAST Hit: 3 Stars
THIS IS A CD THAT`S MADE UP OF COVERS SONGS.IT`S NOT A BAD CD BUT IT`S NOT GREAT EITHER.IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE THE LAST CD WAS SO GOOD THAT THIS ONE DOESN`T STAND UP WELL TO IT.THE VOCALS ON THIS ARE GREAT,BUT IT JUST ISN`T AS GOOD AS THERE 3 OTHER CD`S.BUT I BELIEVE THAT ANYTHING WITH DARIUS RUCKER ON VOCALS IS WORTH GETTING.BEST SONGS ON THIS ARE I HOPE THAT I DON`T FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU,I GO BLIND AND THE LED ZEPPELIN REMAKE HEY HEY WHAT CAN I DO.THIS IS WORTH GETTING BUT DON`T EXPECT A MUSICAL CHAIRS.
Free Music Review: Good, but not the best from them. Hit: 3 Stars
This is a pretty good cd, but still doesnt compare to that golden masterpiece Cracked Rear View. The best songs on here are Fine Line, I Go Blind, I'm Over You, & Before the Heartache Rolls On. Not bad, but if you want a good one to start with, get Cracked Rear View first, then Musical Chairs, then this one.
Free Music Review: Better than you expect Hit: 3 Stars
An interesting and ecclectic mix of stuff from a much-maligned (undeservingly so) band.
