Hootie is back with a great record. Nevermind all the critics or what Mtv is playing these days--you won't find a band that can put together a great song like Hootie does time and again. This is good stuff, and I wish that Hootie would put out a record every month or so. These guys are the real deal, no phony image or video hoz', just musicians putting out great records and playing live.Free Music Review: I am a Hootie fan and I am Proud!

This is the first Hootie and the Blowfish CD I have ever purchased and I think it is absolutely great! I have heard that back in the States being a Hootie fan is somehow equated with being square and uncool. If that is the case, then I will shout it from the rooftops, " I think Hootie and the Blowfish are the bomb! If that makes me a square so be it!"These days, there is a preponderance of people that think being lazy and rude are admirable traits. They listen to music by artists that belittle and disparage others in order to hide their own lack of imagination and real talent. According to them, killing and robbing are justifiable pastimes. After listening to Hootie, I feel warm and cuddly inside. You can't help but like the songs, "Tears Fall Down" and "Innocence". If the American public is too jaded to enjoy Hooties's music anymore, it is indeed a sad testament to what my beloved home has become. Fortunately, here in Thailand, they still appreciate great song writing! My advice to all the "good" people back home is to go out and buy this CD. Show the record companies what we really want to hear!

I didn't care much for their second album, didn't even touch their third one (Don't recall even hearing a song from that one). I bought this on a whim, because I remembered I liked the songs & lyrics to "Cracked Rear View."I took a chance. WOW! This one blows me away!
As a mobilized Reservist, "I'll Come Runnin'" reaches deep. Those of us who had the 24-hour turn around can recall our "5:00 a.m.", and realize how close they hit home.
My personal favorite is "Show Me Your Heart", but I'm sure I'll switch on different days. The album is that good!
Never thought I'd be grateful for a CD... but I am.
Free Music Review: Hootie is HOT Again!

For those of you who loved the classic Hootie and the Blowfish CD's like "Cracked Rear View" and "Fairweather Johnson" this is the CD to get.Recently in Las Vegas they held their concert at the Stratosphere Hotel to their first sold out concert of the tour. Everyone was excited to hear new songs from this CD and everyone was on their feet!
By far the best songs from this album are:
- Deeper Side
- Little Brother (was GREAT in concert!)
- Innocence
- Space
- Little Darlin'
- Go and tell him (right after this song...after a delay...is a hidden track!)
Get the CD and get to a concert and have fun!
