Free Music Notes for Horowitz in MoscowFree Music Review: Spectacular Performance Hit: 5 Stars
Horowitz's historic return to Russia is captured brilliantly on this CD. The best Traumerei that I have ever heard. The Mozart is exciting. The whole disc is a musical journey. In Scriabin we are taken to the emotional heart of these pieces. Technically this is probably Vladimir's best late live recording. A must have in any piano collection.
Free Music Review: My favorite classical recording of all time. Hit: 5 Stars
I have a couple of hundred classical CDs, and like most of them. But this is the one I play the most. It mixes familiar piano works with others that were entirely new to me.
The concert was held during Horowitz's first return to Moscow, and the emotion of both artist and audience seem audible. Anyhow, the playing is inspired.
Free Music Review: Amazing! Hit: 5 Stars
I am not on expert or anything like that. Listening to this CD, I think I discovered what music was. It illustrates how powerful music can be. The way this CD goes through arrays of emotions is amazing. It is also an emotionally charged performance for the audience and Horowitz.
Free Music Review: An incredibly moving concert Hit: 5 Stars
one of the greatest concerts ever recorded. the emotion of the audience, given Horowitz's return to Moscow for the first time in decades, brought the house down. The emotion is palpable, and the selection of pieces reflects this.
Free Music Review: Hear the Master Hit: 5 Stars
This recording deserves a real listening. Horowitz' touch on the keys is so light, almost casual--yet perfectly assured. Fantastic. The audience is charged up too, and that energy is another delight here. One of many!
