Free Music Notes for Little Shop Of Horrors: Original Cast Album (1982 Off-Broadway Cast)Free Music Review: Nobody... Hit: 5 Stars
...can play Audrey like Ellen Greene. When I hear her sing, I believe she IS Audrey. I love the way she speaks, in a tiny voice with that slight lisp, then when she really gets to singing, she just belts it out. I can't decide with cast album I like, 1982 or 2003. Or the movie soundtrack. They're all good.
The songs I like on this cast ablum is:
Mushnik & Son(well, on both really)
Somewhere That's Green(on this and the movie sdtrk)
Closed for Renovation
Suddenly Seymour(on this and the movie sdtrk)
On the 2003 album:
Dentist!(on the '82, it was horrible)
Ya Never Know
The Meek Shall Inherit(on this and the movie sdtrk)
The rest I didn't list, I like most on the movie soundtrack. I love this musical(along with The Rocky Horror Show, Chicago, Hair, and The Sound of Music)and it's fun to sing along with.
So, if you're considering on buying a specific LSoH album, buy them all and figure out which one you like most.
Free Music Review: LOVE IT! Hit: 5 Stars
I absolutely LOVE this recording of Little Shop. Lee Wilkof has an amazing voice and Ellen Greene does an excellent job with Somewhere that's Green. I have to say Ya Never Know is my favourite track (or Skid Row/Downtown) due to the excellent vocals by the Trio. Trio: All there voices are AMAZING! Especially Ronette. Lee Wilkof (Seymour): Very good voice hits high notes with great voice. Makes Suddenly Seymour the showstopper it should be. Ellen Greene (Audrey): Though her character get annoying sometimes she has an amazing belt and an excellent rendition of Somewhere That's Green. Hy Anzell (Mushnik): Very good except in Mushnik & Son he made the song kinda dull Franc Luz (Orin D.D.S.): HILARIOUS! Excellent interpretation of the role. Better than Steve Martin even. Ron Taylor (Audrey II):Does great job of gradually persuading Seymour very funny!

I loved the 1986 movie with Ellen Greene. I bought this wonderful CD from Tower Records. I was so happy. I looked at it.
Then I placed it in my brand new boombox. It was so cool. And Ellen Greene was Audrey on this CD. I was also happy that she was on there.

Free Music Review: Look out! Here comes Audrey II! Hit: 5 Stars
This is the legendary Original Cast album for Little Shop of Horrors. It was the first great triumph of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, who later went on to write songs for Disney animated films. Menken continued to write songs after Ashman's death, but they were never as good as before. Ashman was a brilliant lyricist, and his death was a huge loss for musicals. Anyway, these are great, clever, humorous songs that tell the story of a boy, a girl and a man-eating plant. You know, the usual love story. The cast is very good, and generally superor singers to the actors who appeared in the film version. With the exception, of course, of Ellen Greene, the definitive Audrey, who played her in both versions. That's all I have to say, except: DON'T FEED THE PLANTS!
Free Music Review: HOLA! Hit: 5 Stars
Hey, all you people! Ok, call me weird, but I really like this CD! I have it on tape from when I was like 4 years old, and I love it! Ok, if you want to know my favorite song ( again with the weird thing) it would be Now (It's just the gas)! ;) I can hear you thinking, 'What a weirdo!' but I really think it's funny! But, like all things, there is one reason why this CD isn't perfect! <GASP!> It doesn't include all the songs! I mean it doesn't have Call back in the morning, which is so cool :) Plus, it doesn't have the other part of the song where Audrey dies. :( Well, anyway, all I have to say is this: If you don't own this CD BUY IT! <PLEASE!>
