This cd I feel is a wonderful demonstration of off-Broadway's talent although the girl who played Audrey she, for her character has too much of a breathy voice for my taste but you can tell she has a beautiful voice if she would just change her character's voice she would just be the perfect Audrey. Speaking of Audreys, Audrey II was th emost perfect person for that part although it says the mean green "mother" from outer space that guy who portrayed the voice of Audrey II was wonderful I can't think of another guy who would be more suited for that part. Overall I think you should buy this cd if you like broadway and musicals.Free Music Review: GREAT!! But a little 'different' than the 'published work'

VERY VERY ENJOYABLE. I got the CD to help learn a part for a local production. While I enjoy listening, and I am sure it will be a GREAT help, I was a bit 'dissapointed' when "Mushnik and Son" had different words than in my score, and omitted a refrain. And there is also a complete omission of "Call Back in the Morning". If you want a representation of what was in the musical, this is great. If you want to have something to 'practice' with for an upcoming production, then this is the best available, but you are still going to have to do some real 'work' of your own.Free Music Review: This is one of the best musicals I have heard

Having performed as Seymour in one production of Little Shop of Horrors, designing the lights for another, and watching it done professionally by another group, I have to say that this is probably the best musical I have ever been in or seen. The assortment of themes to the songs are wonderful, from the punky, gang style singing of the plant, to the sweet and innocent singing of Audrey, this CD is one that I feel appeals to all ages. Personally though, my favorite songs are: Grow for Me, and, Suddenly Seymour.Free Music Review: Wonderful Mixture of "Comedy in Blood"

Our (Sandra and Dee's) favorite songs are "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Grow for Me." We are two young teens enjoying this show. We have the video and the Off-B'way CD. We discover ourselves buying Venus Flytraps because of it. Ellen Greene was as smashing in her songs as in the movie. She is a real splashing lady. However, I feel starched cause she played alongside Lee Wilkof (a wonderful geeky nerd). "Closed for Ren.v." (what a jingle) is splashing.Free Music Review: I urge EVERYONE to buy this CD!

A while ago, I was part of a high school play production of Little Shop of Horrors, so owning this CD is sort of like remembering some good times. It was my 1st musical, and the music from Little Shop helped me get hooked on music. The CD is so lively and fun! For hose who haven't been in the production, buy it for the AMAZING music. For those who have been in a Little Shop production, buy it and remember all the good times and all the GREAT people.
