Free Music Notes for Little Shop Of Horrors: Original Cast Album (1982 Off-Broadway Cast)Free Music Review: Smashing Cast - Superb Quality Hit: 5 Stars
A classic bit of musical theater - this is by far the best recording of the show available. The original cast really is stellar, and the pit is as tight as can be. If this is your first time listening to the show, I high recommend this album. I really enjoy the fact that the tempos are up on this recording, which makes it move much faster, but never so fast that you can't understand what is happening.
Free Music Review: Come on, come on... Hit: 5 Stars
Absolutely an amazing cd. We just started off a hard 5 months working on the play and we got to listen to this soundtrack. If you've ever seen the play or movie, or if you've seen neither, this cd is for you! Some songs are dark, and some are light. I LOVE this cd! When I was younger just a bad little kid My mama noticed funny things I did Like shootin puppy dogs with a BB-gun.....
Free Music Review: If for only one reason... Hit: 5 Stars
If you buy this cd for one reason and one reason only, purchase it for "Somewhere That's Green." It is probably one of the most honest, sweet, endearing songs of the musical theatre genre. All this poor, pathetic girl wants is the simplest life with a man who will not hurt her. It started my love of the musical stage, let it be your's as well.
Free Music Review: Still Great 25 years later Hit: 5 Stars
The original production is still kickin' after all these years. Have the revival CD from 2003, but Ellen Green IS Audrey on this 1982 version! If you are a "Little Shop" junkie, get both. If you are doing the show in community theatre and are looking for the CD, this one is in the same vocal key and the instrumental scoring is pretty close.
Free Music Review: Terrific Soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
I was introduced to "Little Shop of Horrors," when my High School did the Musical. I loved it so much that I just had to get the soundtrack. I want the role of Seymour more than anything. You've got to love the cast on the cd. Lee Wilkof's sensitive charisma and Ellen Greene's golden voice is a memorable performance.
