The movie from which this soundtrack comes The Raymond Briggs' The Snowman is one of the most beautiful and pure children's films I have ever seen.
But there is something about hearing the music on its own that is, in some ways, even more wonderful. I chose to buy this soundtrack, rather than the DVD, because even though the animation of the film is beautiful, I want my children to use their imaginations to visualize the story. I am glad that this CD has both the narration of the story, and the musical score on its own.
Final Word: This is some of the most beautiful, moving music I have ever heard. It is worth every cent, even if you have to import it. You will be a different person after hearing this than you were before.
