Free Music Notes for The Lord of the Rings: The Two TowersFree Music Review: Howard Shore delivers again Hit: 5 Stars Howard Shore continues to amaze me with his stunning work for LOTR. The Two Towers soundtrack has some of the themes from the previous soundtrack, but it has many newer, more darker ones.
There is so much fantastic music in here that this is one soundtrack you can't pass up. The amazing Rohan theme (played by a violen) is breathtaking. The battle music for Helm's Deep is great. Every track earns five stars except the last: Gollum's Song. It isn't too bad, but it pales in comparison to Enya's song at the end of FOTR.
I do suggest that you go and buy this CD. It has great music and should never get old.
Free Music Review: so perfect it defies reason Hit: 5 Starsget this and the other two LOTR soundtracks, they are the best music I have heard from any soundtrack. They demonstrate the immense power that an orchestra can have, I absolutely cannot get enough of this music. stirring, powerful, perfectly arranged all at once, you will absolutely think its the best thing ever. If you loved the movies, you are really going to enjoy the soundtracks. even if you didn't see the movies you will become extremely hooked. This and the others are that good!!!
Free Music Review: Perfect music to the movie!! Hit: 5 StarsIf you listen to the music than you remember every scene of the movie. The music is so good. Howard did a very good job.
Free Music Review: Second Most Epic CD ever Made! Hit: 5 Stars I don't have this cd (i download) but my favorite song would have to be 'The Hornburg'. That song is so incredibly epic, you feel like you are in Aragorn's shoes! And as one other said, 'Gollum's song' is pretty good too. The reason i put 'second' most epic cd is because 'The Return of the King' soundtrack is probably the best out of all three.
i definitely give this 5 out of 5 stars. GREAT music for the whole family.
Free Music Review: Immaculate, Impeccable, Flawless! Hit: 5 StarsThis is the second soundtrack to the mega-successful box office hit, The Lord Of The Rings. Howard Shore managed to handle this heavy task and transform it into an a amazing work of perfection.
There are more new themes introduced in this soundtrack. Rohan's theme is calm, soothing (with the string instrument) and grand at times (the horns). It really created the identity of the city. It is one of my favorite themes, second only to the Elves themes. I absolutely loved the opening anthem Foundations Of Stone, with the disturbing sounds of the choir (if you can recall its the part when Gandalf fought with the Balrog of Morgoth). The songs are not in the order in the film but its a great opus. The mood and emotions of the film are expressed perfectly and its unbelievable how the music flows in the film.
As I mentioned in my ROTK review, I loved music for the Elf kind. Evenstar is very emotional and it moved me so much! Arwen's grief is portrayed beautifully. See how the music connects alot with the film! Music of Gandalf (The White Rider, Forth Eorlingas) is magical and enchanting. Ben Del Maestro is a beautiful vocalist. My other favorites would have to be The Hornburg, The King Of The Golden Hall, Helms Deep and Riders Of Rohan. The fierce anthems (Isengard Unleashed) fits well with the film. Gollum's Song is very haunting but its majestic at the same time.
You need to watch the film and listen many times to the cd to really appreciate it. Howard Shore is an amazing composer, made him a well-known composer. I don't understand why this soundtrack wasn't even nominated for Best Score in the Oscars. But it won a Grammy, so it shows!
