I was fortunate to have had the honor and pleasure of knowing and recording with Hoyt Axton at the beginning of my own career. The song collection on this CD includes some of Hoyt's most important work. I recall those A&M days in Hollywood as if they were yesterday. It was not unusal for George Harrison, Ringo, Nicolette Larson, Arlo Guthrie, Kristofferson, Joni Mitchell, or even, Cher to drop in while Hoyt was recording. Some of the finest musicians of the day worked with Hoyt, and many of those talented players and singers can be found on this CD...Well worth the investment for a first class singer-songwriter. Joy to the World Hoyt, Joy to the World...You are one of the best, and I thank you for your invaluable guidance...
