Free Music Review: Punk album of the month

Their new album may be named after your neighborhood's upscale Italian restaurant, but the Falcons continue to rock it hard. With elements of passionate street punk, driving punk n' roll, earnest folk-punk, and working-class sensibilities, these guys are the best thing to come from Jersey since raw sewage-scented air fresheners. The vocals are too gruff and throaty for the music, but we said that about Dicky Barrett too back in the day, and we were wrong then too. I can see the vox being a turnoff, but the great songwriting and catchiness is hard to deny, and this album is so solid, it's putting up Dropkick numbers. Check out "Copperhead Road," the rocker "Cosa Nostra Rock N Roll," and my favorite song of the month, "Little Bit of Faith."
