This is great for newborns. The vacuum sounds saved our life and had our newborn sleeping 4+ hours at a time (then we added in the Miracle Blanket and slept ALL NIGHT!) Our baby is 10 months now and we still use vacuum sounds on repeat on very low until we go to bed to drown out the noise in the garage.
Newborns just need that repetetive sound and this is a great quality CD with lots of choices!

This CD is awesome and DS loves it a lot from his 1 week of age. He loves tunes #6 and #8. My baby is 2 months old now and sleeps wonderfully in this noise for 5-6 hours. It helps us sleep too :-). It blocks all outside noise. The CD proved to be great and specially helpful when we turn on this CD tune #6 and put him in the swing- swaddled..works like a charm.
A must have, great product.

It's not a miracle worker, but I think it does help my 7 month old son sleep more peacefully and longer. It helps keep the other sudden outside noises from disturbing him. The sounds really are soothing, as some of the other reviews wrote. I especially like the forest, ocean and highway sounds. I play it on my iPod (with portable speakers) on a continuous loop so I don't have to worry about it.Free Music Review: This works great!

I first read about this in "PARENTS" magazine last year. I'm glad they review new and inventive baby products, because I liked this CD so much, I bought two more as baby shower gifts recently. I've seen similar products and I'm glad someome finally thought to combine all these sounds onto one CD. My son really likes the crickets and the train ride. I don't have a baby, but I use this CD for myself while trying to sleep during the day for my night turn job. I have noisy neighbors with dogs that seemingly never stop barking, trucks running jake brakes past the house, lawnmowers, you name it - LOL - and this CD is just the ticket! I pop it in, set one of the white noise tracks to repeat, and I sleep all day uninturrupted. Awesome!!
