I'm collecting ALL the IZ CD's, and have the book "IZ, Voice of the People". You can't go wrong with ANY of his music! This wonderful Hawaiian singer, who left this world too soon, will always be respected and revered in the music world. For a trip to Hawaii, via this beautiful, unique VOICE, try any "IZ". I can't say which is my favorite CD, as they all take me away to a place of total relaxation and joy. Just returned from my first visit to Hawaii where I was introduced to Brother Iz by a tour guide. As we drove through the rainforest listening to this man, the whole experience of Hawaii became a spiritual re-birthing. It is simple to say that his clear tenor tone is beautiful and inspiring but his soul- sharing touches a tone within the listener which changes them forever. My sister turned me on to Iz years ago. Then I heard him singing on the ending of the movie Meet Joe Black. I purchased this CD as an experiment and was totally overwhelmed. The voice of Iz will come right out of the CD and touch you deeply. Warning! This CD is absolutely addicting. I can't get most of the wonderful tunes or lyrics out of my head. And my 6 and 8 year old sons won't stop playing it in the car either. One of the best buys in music I have ever made.Free Music Review: His spirit lives on in his music.

My favorite Hawaiian musician is Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (known as Bruddah IZ). His heavenly voice always gives me inspiration, along with his perpetuating words of wisdom on Hawaiian history.My favorite song is the first track, Ahi Wela (Night Star). This song is peaceful, yet powerful, a trademark of Bruddah IZ. It is sung in both Hawaiian and English "How I wonder where you are..." I am always thinking of this great man.

I bought this for my 81 year old mother, we both LOVED this CD. I never bought any Hawaiian music before. I knew nothing about IZ and was heart-broken to discover he had passed from this world. Great audio clarity for a concert. Gorgeous voice. Wonderful selection of songs. If you're listening to music of this genre for the first time, I can't image a better CD exists.
