Free Music Notes for Buena Vista Social Club Presents Ibrahim FerrerFree Music Review: Absolutely incredible. The music is so powerful. Hit: 5 Stars
I first heard the original Buena Vista Social club during the summer of 1998. I learned to salsa dance to that CD. I never thought I would be saying this but Buena Vista Social Club Presents Ibrahim Ferrer is even better than the debut CD. What an amazing and talented group of musicians. The music is full of emotion, incredible talent, and strength. I am in complete awe of these musicians.

Free Music Review: A Discovery of the Rarest Kind! Hit: 5 Stars
Let me start by admitting to no knowledge of spanish, and no experience with Cuban music. But, when I first heard this album, it carried me away. I was struck by the knowledge that these performers lived in isolation, and only now are getting the recognition that should have been theirs decades ago. I hope that exposure to this music will help me understand an entire people.
Free Music Review: I'm in love! Hit: 5 Stars
I am utterly captivated by Ibrahim Ferrer's voice and by the arrangements on this CD. It's not as noisy and fun as Cubanismo and not as sleepy as the first Buena Vista Social Club; it's just right. After seeing the movie and listening to this, I want nothing more than to go to Havana, walk along the Malecon, and fall in love with Cuba. Until that day comes...well, I have this CD.
