Free Music Notes for Buena Vista Social Club Presents Ibrahim FerrerFree Music Review: He could sing the phone book Hit: 5 Stars
Ibrahim Ferrer could sing the phone book and I would be enthralled. The man's voice was a treasure. This CD is not quite as good as Buena Vista Social Club, but almost nothing is. It's not as exciting as BVSC, but Ferrer is gone now, and any little phrase he sang is better than tons of other people's work.
Free Music Review: The Cubain Nat King Cole, enough said. Hit: 5 Stars
This album is enjoyable by all and a great way to start to enjoy deverse music. If you have the chance, pick up the Buena Vista Social Club's DVD, it's great. This will give you the chance to see the backgroud of this great vocalist and othe great Cubian Superstars of yesterday and of right now.
Free Music Review: Astounding. Hit: 5 Stars
It's difficult to accurately describe the tremendous musical accomplishment the BVSC and Ibrahim Ferrer achieve on this album. Mr. Ferrer's voice coupled with the smooth yet precise playing of the BVSC combine to create a record that is timeless in its harmony and diversity. An instant classic.
Free Music Review: Another fan Hit: 5 Stars
Fell in love with the movie and bought this along with first CD of Buena Vista Social Club. Especially moving is Silencio; if I close my eyes, I can picture the duet of Ibrahim Ferrer and Omara Portuondo as the camera pans around them. Romantic, funny, passionate, and full of the joy of life.
Free Music Review: a MUST HAVE for afro-cuban rythm aficcionados Hit: 5 Stars
I saw the movie and was a ready convert. I sat in awe of the talent, the evocative sounds and rythms that make you levitate in a near trance. I wanted to clap and shout and was restrained only by a sedate audience around me or maybe they had they same problem as me remaining in my chair.
