This is, in my opinion the best cd since horror show with the return of the mighty Matt Barlow. Matt's Vocals are in my opinon the most powerful and epic they have ever been. Listen to tracks Crucify the King, Harbinger of fate, sacrifical kingdoms, divide devour and something wicked part 3 and you'll see what i mean. Other good tracks on this album are crown of the fallen and come what may. The rest of the cd is also good but are not among my favorite tracks. this is one of my favorite iced earth albums along with just about every iced earth album featuring Matt Barlow. I am really looking forward to yet another epic iced earth album in 2011Free Music Review: Awesome!

Firstly, I have been an Iced earth fan for quite some time now (I.e. 10+ Years)
I just picked up the 'Framing Armageddon' and 'Crucible of Man' albums after avoiding Iced Earth since the departure of Matt Barlow. Basically, the music no longer interested me and I found the vocals to be atrocious.
Pleasently, Matt barlow is back for Crucible of Man and it has paid off no end! This album is magnificent!
This fan is back!!!
P.s. I don't rate Framing Armageddon. The music is ok, but the vocals are rubbish. Very hard to listen to.

well for the most part this part 2 is greater than part 1 john s. has put a little more effort in his guitar work than the previous album. vocal wise i like barlow and owens, of course barlow fits iced earth better just like rob halford fits judas priest better than owens. but owens is a great singer if you don't beleive it buy winter banes first album heart of killer and you'll think owens was halford. something wicked part 2 the more i listen to it the better it gets so check it out.Free Music Review: Return of the True voice of Iced Earth, and Return of the greatness, The Crucible of Man is the phoneix rising from the ashes!

What can I say truly about this album, it could be that I am a huge fan of Iced Earth but that would be unfair for this review...lets just say that Framing Armageddon was like disgusting hamburger, and The Crucible of Man is like a 100 buck NY steak, Iced Earth is back with a vengeance with Matt Barlow back on the vocals, it is all kinds of amazing, plus it seems like Jon got his flare back, All the songs are in classic pre Owen's beauty...Gods of metal are back!Free Music Review: BUENISIMO
