I saw the live performance in LA last July and this is a wonderful DVD and CD to keep to remember this outstanding musical event. The men sound better in person than they do on recordings which only happens with truly gifted singers and they have just gotten better over the past five years they have been together. The camera work was quite good considering the size (huge) of the arena and the size of the crowd (also huge). Luckily, the aim was usually the singers not the video presentation behind them. Lots of their hit songs and a couple of new ones (for them). They are more elegant than ever showing up in great threads and tails in the final songs. Such a treat to see real men in great suits, shirts with French cuffs, hairstyles and clean shaven - they are just too charming! This is a great price meant for giving to your friends and fans of Il divo. A CD and DVD of excellent recording quality for such a great price! I definitely recommend this for anyone that loves romantic music sung by men with real vocal talent and technique!! This concert offers more songs than any of their other DVDs. Their Christmas album is also terrific. This is a must have for any romantic music fan! If an Il Divo fan, you must add to your collection as this has all their best hits from previous albums plus "A Bridge Over Troubled Waters". Great fun!!Free Music Review: An evening of enjoyment

Carlos, Sebastian, Urs and David - IL Divo - are terrific. The blend of their voices is magical and pure and their personalities are engaging. I have watched this DVD several times all the while wishing I could have been there in person to experience the excitement. However with a 42" TV I felt I had a front row seat and the stage configuration put them up close and personal with the audience.
There are 25 songs included on this DVD comprising some of their former hits and a few new songs. Standouts for me were My Way, Amazing Grace, The Impossible Dream which they say describes IL Divo, Mama, Passera, Bridge Over Troubled Water, She, Hallelujah, Unchained Melody, and the unforgettable, Somewhere. Since the concert was in Barcelona, they incorporated many Spanish touches which greatly pleased the audience.
The CD is quite good though does not include some of the more outstanding songs of the evening.
This combination CD/DVD deserves a spot in your musical collection.

My wife and I just received this DVD/CD two days ago and cannot stop listening to it. I must start off and say these four singers Of Il Divo are amoung the best singers of all time and the best singers out there now without question. My Wife and I saw them for the first time this summer Live and this new DVD captures the feeling of what it is like to see them Live.
As another reveiwer stated they are even better sounding singers Live then there sound captured in a studio and they are exactly right in that statement it is because they are all great singers.
They put so much more feeling in each song Live. They have really grown as a group, singing together to which words cannot do them justice.
If anyone is looking for a great CD/DVD go and purchase this An Evening with Il Divo Live in Barcelona and enjoy a great evening of singing ,passion, and great songs.
You will truly be moved! The Best Life performance captured on a DVD ever! Get it your copy soon will thank me.

I have followed Il Divo since their beginning and have all of their CDs and DVDs. The book wasn't a disappointment either. What an incredible journey they have been on. I admire Simon Cowell's handiwork in putting operatic voices to work on popular songs. His vision come to fruition must be more than satisfying. The young men describe each of their careers and training that led to their auditions and Il Divo. My only complaint is that the cover fell off of the book only part of the way through reading it. The pictures are wonderful too. I am a great grandmother so although they are easy on the eyes, their music is what captivates my imagination. The book filled in all the questions of how four extremely well trained singers can get the egos to calm down long enough to create their "sound". The separate lives they live keeps them from becoming stale and ever interesting.Free Music Review: Pulls at the Strings of Your Heart

Just fabulous! Il Divo will send you into dreamland...music that tugs at your heartstrings. There's no need to fight back tears...let 'em flow. These talented singers give it their all in this DVD. We saw Il Divo at The Gibson Amphitheatre in Hollywood last year. This is the same performance but in Barcelona, Spain. We actually stumbled across Il Divo at Barbra Streisand's final performance of her farewell tour at Staples Center in Los Angeles in 2006. We loved Barbra but Il Divo almost stole the show. They performed solo and accompanied Barbra in many songs. We were hooked from then on and couldn't wait for their return to The States in 2009. Buy this DVD or check your PBS listings. We saw this DVD on KOCE television here in SOuthern California last night (March 27, 2010).
