My wife Maria first introduced this CD and I loved it.I love the classic and enthralling mixture of Opera, Pop and Contemporary music that filled the emptiness of a culture gone bad. I have purchased both CDs and I am hooked on this beautiful sound. These four men have bags of Charisma and a wealth of talent. They are quickly becoming the New Beatles for the new genre and generation. The first CD sets the stage for what is to come. I find myself thinking about new and exciting songs that can be interpreted by these wonderfully talented young singers. I salute them for their talent and encourage all to pick up a CD and keep an open mind.The best contribution from Simon so far!!!!

This is by far the best singing group I have ever heard. They are absoutely WONDERFUL! I find myself turning up the volume everytime I listen to this CD. I saw Il Divo for the first time on the "Day Time Awards" program the other night where Simon introduced them, and I had to absoutely get this CD the next day. There was only one left, but they were getting another shipment next week. It's so refreshing to see these young men dressed so classey, to be able to understand what they're singing, and to know that we can finally go out and spend our money on something that we really want, and love. Thanks to all the people that discovered Sebastian, Carlos, David and Urs. And thank you Il Divo for sharing your beautiful voices with the world.Free Music Review: Incredible!!!

These 4 guys are quite a catch - for Simon Cowell and the musical world as a whole - 1 baritone (Carlos), 2 tenors (Urs and David) and one Sebastian. PHENOMENAL is the only world - a romantic and sexy arrangement of some old remakes and new stuff, some different languages, amazing orchestral arrangements - for the classical at heart, the romantically-bent listening crowd -and not too hard on the eyes...The four men are able to blend their different ranges and vocal strengths on the different songs so each sounds new and sensual. All of these guys can sing and believe me, you will know it by the end of the CD - and this will be the new standard in the "seduce a woman" repertoire of the smart men - left me breathless, wanting more.Free Music Review: Good Job, Guys!!!

These four young, beautiful international models of manhood have come together to create a musical genre of ALMOST universal appeal.
Yes, there will be some who scoff at the lack of technical merit, or the gluttony of showmanship that any group that takes to the road must show, but generally this is the ideal sunshine on a "cold winter's day" desired and appreciated by the buying public. Why else would we be making them international icons. I say they have filled a need in this world for great romantic music delivered by four easy-on-the-eyes guys who have created a nitch
in the music industry for themselves. Good job, guys. Enjoy the ride.!!!!

I don't pretend to be a musical expert; I just know what I like, from Ann Murray to Elton John to Meatloaf to Josh Groban and now Il Divo. This is certainly a commercial endeavor, as stated by some reviewers, but the quality of the voices and orchestration cannot be denied. I cannot find anywhere on this CD case, or liner notes, claims of "being opera". Familar and some not so familar songs, are given a new and different treatment, very successfully, I think. Unbreak My Heart, The Man You Love and Passera are outstanding. The voices blend well and there is passion and feeling in the singing. I am looking forward to more from this group. You go Simon!! (There is a reason he is so successful)
