I was given this cd to listen to and was really impressed by the octives and highs and low of the voices of these men. I prefer R&B, but its something about there voices that are soothing and exciting at the same time. The songs are sung in a language other than english, except for the amazing grace song #11, which is my favorite. It brings me back to the times I was a teenager singing this song in church. This is an awesome CD and my first experience with listening to "Il Divo" (I know, where have I been???) and it is so beautiful. I purchased it immediately after being forwarded the "Amazing Grace" video. I love it and am giving it as a gift to someone else. It does not matter what language they are singing it...BEAUTIFUL MUSIC IS BEAUTIFUL MUSIC! Not everything in Life MUST be in English to have merit! IL DIVO is an Italian group that is one of Italy's best. Don't worry about a language difference. The Promise (deluxe Edition) delivers reguardless of if you understand Italian or not. There is a purity and relaxed mood that comes with this music. Purhaps the best song on this CD is a truly wonderful version of Amazing Grace. You have got to hear it. Il Divo is by far the best group I have ever heard. Their individual voices are awesome and the harmony and blend are incredible. This is the best album yet. I purchased the deluxe set, but unfortunately the video of Amazing Grace is not on the DVD. I ordered another from Australia and now have it on DVD. If you don't but this CD/DVD combination you will really be missing an experience.Free Music Review: soothing

a new album at last. it is a bit different in that there are no jazzy, upbeat songs; all the songs are soothing, quiet selections which make for a great one to listen to when you want to relax in the deepest sense. my daughter also thought it was great! sebastian's voice is really beginning to come along wonderfully. you can tell the others have been coaching him. 5 stars for this one.
