Free Music Notes for Ellipse

Free Music Review: near masterpiece, but not what i was expecting
Hit: 4 Stars

i was hoping for a continuation of Imogen's last disc. it had it all... great beats and angelic singing. Ellipse is many times more mellow than its direct predecessor, but is still very good. i enjoyed the music more on Speak for Yourself. i thought it was more upbeat, and i can listen to that disc at anytime regardless of what mood i am in. the music on this album is a bit more boring, but lets Imogen's voice stick out more... not a bad thing. however, i find myself only wanting to listen to Ellipse when trying to relax... also not a bad thing. but i have a feeling that listening to it in the car would put me to sleep at the wheel. not because it is boring, but just because it has such a soft sound, like a lullaby.

Free Music Review: A good album
Hit: 4 Stars

I will admit, the first time I listened to this album I was disappointed. The beats felt slightly lacking as did the lyrics. However after listening to it again I realized the songs were actually quite nice, and it was my expectations for this album to be (as Imogen put it) a "Speak For Yourself #2," that was the problem. Imogen, I feel, is still growing and trying to grasp at her own type of sound. It's very enjoyable to see the path she is trying to find. The album may not appease those that really enjoyed Speak For Yourself, and definitely won't appeal to the iMegaphone fans, but this album was definitely worth the buy.

Just hope she doesn't take another 2 years to release her next album.

Free Music Review: A Happening Chameleon
Hit: 4 Stars

From Donna Lewis to dá musical daughter of Kate Bush, this lady has gone deeper into the love of her life. Music and it's nuances in modern urban life. With a clear understanding of the medium she lives in and what she wants to swim with we have a natural compositional being of light. Love ya...

Free Music Review: Repeat of Success
Hit: 4 Stars

I won't give it 5 stars because I hold that rating as quite special. I like most of the songs, love a few of the songs and sadly, was disappointed in a couple. As the CD has 13 songs, not liking two is still a very good ratio. The instrumental song The Fire is exquisite.

Free Music Review: Growing on Me
Hit: 4 Stars

Product arrived quickly, in good condition, and I've had no issues
Imogen Heap's new album is a slow to warm up album...I had been anticipating this album for a long time, but it is taking a while for the songs to grow on me.
