Okay, so its a little better than Come Clarity, but this new In Flames is not my style. Where's the Melodic Death Metal? This seems more like Emocore/metalcore crap. The half-hearted scream is completely soul-less, and the constant "Take This Life" guitar rhythm just gets old. Here's a great example of Pro Tools in action...a little pitch correction and Anders can suddenly "sing." It just goes to show how simple most Americans are...throw in a cheesey hook and a simple melody and everyone eats it up like its cheese...all they need is a synthetic string section and they're all set for American Pop status. Give me some Jester's Race, Whoracle, Clayman, and Subterranean anyday.
