Free Music Review: Una colonna sonora strepitosa

Questo disco include anche le canzoni del film -che, per inciso, è veramente insulso, non credibile, alcune scene sono letteralmente inguardabili- ma il vero gioiello contenuto sono i ca. 25 minuti della colonna sonora composta, orchestrata e diretta da John Barry.
Sono perfettamente riconoscibili, all'interno dell'unica traccia relativa allo score, undici singole parti per pianoforte e orchestra una più suggestiva dell'altra (al pianoforte Michael Lang).
Ogni parte ha una durata variabile tra 1 e 3 minuti ca., perciò anche agli ascoltatori meno pazienti consiglio un ascolto "concentrato", per poter apprezzare al meglio l'atmosfera in alcuni parti lieta, in altre struggente, mai melensa o banale.
Barry si conferma, una volta di più, uno dei più grandi compositori di musiche da film di tutti i tempi.
Se non lo avete già fatto e questa colonna sonora vi è piaciuta, procuratevi anche quella di "Codice Mercury": vi regalerete un'ora ca. di musica dello stesso genere (pianoforte e orchestra), parimenti coinvolgente ed evocativa.
