Free Music Notes for Amazing Jeckel Brothers

Free Music Review: Jack and Jake Jeckel rest in all of us, for they are the very fabric of our conscious being.
Hit: 5 Stars

His evil influence flows from the city streets like red molten ooze, filling every alley and gutter. There are those who are burnt by it, like the charred remains of a napalm strike. He moves in silence, yet with his heat comes ear-shattering screams as the masses are scorched in his choking smoke of corruption. His fire consumes like a lethal injection flowing through the veins of a dying convict. Hosts of small red ants crawl in the wake of his presence, biting and stinging flesh. His holocaust fills the woods of hope and prosperity like a wave of hungry piranhas on a newborn lamb. He goes by many names, but for now let it be spoken like the force of a fireball bursting into a crowd. He's Jack, pure and simple... Jack Jeckel.

His glow of compassion kindles the heart, like a campfire on a cold winter's eve. His embers burn eternally, spreading the flame of mercy like a warm blanket over the shoulders of a vagabond. His kindness is fueled by sympathy for human suffering, but his inferno of righteous cause, incinerates creatures of sin to ash. The torch of his salvation guides wanderers in the dark abyss to freedom. Its flaring sparks float on the winds of change, like soaring birds recently freed from a dreary cage. Laughter explodes forth from the essence of his being, radiating the land with childish joy. He has many names, but for now let it be spoken like melodic music drifting through the air. He's Jake, true indeed... Jake Jeckel.

Emerging from the Dark Carnival like phantom smoke drifting into the minds of men, they are the Amazing Jeckel Brothers. A chaotic duo of juggling masters, Jack "the sinister" and Jake "the just" juggle the sins of mortal men. The price of admission to their show is a mere human soul.

When death creeps around and life decays, the departed spirit will begin its journey. A vision of a candle will begin to form like a distant dream with billowing smoke rising from its eternal flame. In this thick haze the deceased will begin to see an image of Jake and Jack Jeckel juggling red balls between themselves. Each ball soaked in fresh blood and pulsating like an erratic living heart. For every sin committed in a mortal's life another ball is added to their unearthly performance and the harder it becomes. The deceased will witness sinister Jack throwing Jake curves in a vile attempt to see a ball drop. For if they should fumble in their act, a pit of infinite evil shall open beneath the feet of the viewer and cast the soul into an eternity of pain and suffering. Success on the other hand, opens the gates of Shangri-La and grants one ascension into pure enlightenment and peace.

Jack and Jake Jeckel rest in all of us for they are the very fabric of our being conscience and soul. There is no escape from their Juggling act because there is no way to escape from ourselves. Only in death will we realize this as we twist and spin to the other side.

This is definetly in my top 3 Joker's cards of all time. It was also the first ICP album that I fell in love with, when I bought it back in 1999. This is their most notorious release, due to the media hype/controversy that appeared during the Great Milenko era the previous two years. Appearences on this album, are Twiztd, Snoop Dogg and ODB, Ice T also appeared on a song that was supposed to appear on this album, however they left it off. ICP wished to be taken more seriously in this era, hence the more "famous" rap appearences.

Intro - ?/? Every Jokers card has a great intro, it all started with a lamp...

Jake Jeckel 5/5 Almost, like an intro for Jake, even though it is odd for an album to have two intros in a row, I like this alot though. "Jack throw another one Jake catch one more, they'll try to catch all that's in store for you...How many souls will fall from the sky? How many souls burn wondering why?"

Bring It On 5/5 Every ICP album has one of these, an opening gull length song which is pretty much a middle finger to all not down.

I want My S*it 5/5 Not the most charming name, maybe childish and blunt. A story done by Violent J about a man who just can't seem to die, unless he gets what he wants.

B*tches - 5/5 Featuring the one and only ODB from the Wu-Tang Clan!!! The song wasn't even called B*tches, but odb butchered the song so bad, icp was forced to change the name and their own verses all because of his screw up. They turned something horrid into something great.

Terrible - 5/5 A rock type song here,an angry one at that, J and Shaggy blow steam off at the media and society.

I Stab people 3.5/5 Not even a full song, Good for what it is though, pretty funny. Godda love the humorous flow J uses here.

Another Love Song - 4.5/5 A laid back type song...well for ICP standards not the mainstream standard. Single for the album. The things they do for their women, eh?

Everybody Rize - 10/5 An "anthem" so to speak, or for icp's standards. One of the best here, a strong beat.

Play With Me - 5/5 Another story from Violent J, except this time, he plays the part of an action figure long forgotten by it's owner, until one night it seeks revenge....

Jack Jeckel - 5/5 Part two, pretty much the same thing as Jake Jeckel except this one is done by Shaggy 2 Dope.

Fu*k the World - 15/5 Classic icp track, Pretty much their ode to not giving a damn to what anybody thinks.

The Shaggy Show - 4/5 Shaggy has the spotlight here, funny song. Snoops is weak, hence why it's 4 and not 5. He even promotes his new album here, how stale is that? Shaggy works wonders here though.

Mad Professor - 5/5 Violent J is a nut job trying to make a friend, and Shaggy 2 Dope is his loyal creation. A great mix for a horrorcore rap song.

Assassians - 10/5 One of the best songs here, again more rock fueled. a Ghetto Boys cover song, with icp flavor added.

Echo Side - 5/5 The final two songs are pretty deep, this song features Twiztid and was meant to be a Dark Lotus song. Revolving around Damien and his trip through hell.

Nothing's Left - 10/5 A song, about how everything has been done before and nothing is new. The usual heart felt closing song Insane Clown Posse is known for.

So, to end this. This is one of their best. Mixing horror with humor and their beliefs fans have come to love. I recommend this for all icp fans.

P.S. El Lagarto, since when would icp fans take the opinion of a f*cking Devo fan seriously!?

Yeah, point proven.
