Free Music Review: Like a hurricane leaving a trail of destruction, the Carnival of Carnage!
Hit: 5 Stars

Welcome to the show, the traveling ghetto. No longer will the ghetto just be that slum that you keep your kids away from, that slum that you drive through pointing and gawking at. No longer will the ghetto just be a slum that you hear about on the news. If someone from this hell hole wanders into your neighborhood he is quickly noticed and harrassed and shunned back into the home you've given him. As you watch the kids play in the park on your street you never even think about the kids in the ghetto. If you don't care, who does?

Years of breathing the souls of rotted minds has created a bad case of 'Ghetto Insanity'. You walk their streets and are stared at as a freak show, less than human, an ogre walking the streets paved with gold. If those of the ghetto are nothing more than carnival exhibits to the upper class, then let's give them the show they deserve to see. No more hearing of this show because you can witness it in your own front yard! A traveling mass of carnage, the same carnage witnessed daily in the ghetto, can be yours to witness, feel and suffer. No longer killing one another, but killing the ones who have ignored our cries for help. Like a hurricane leaving a trail of destruction, the Carnival of Carnage!

Well, here it is, the first joker's card. It is immature, even for Icp's standards. J and John were only 19 when they made it and Joey only 17. This is the Joker's card to have Kickjazz on it. He doesn't do alot and wasn't missed too much even though he did have a few good moments. a few of the songs were done by a guy named "the snake" (icp called him that because he totally screwed them over) then they met Mike E. Clark and the rest is history. The style here, is not the full ICP style which was really set in stone with their second and best Joker's card "The Ringmaster" it is almsot like if nwa were white guy clowns from detroit who ran with a cheap small time gang with a horror twist. Since they were influenced by nwa and Esham. Now, I thought this was their worst album when I first heard it but as I gave it more time it grew on me. It is all involved with the history. The story, the ideas the humor. The one....the only....Insane Clown Posse.

Intro - ?/? A simple intro done by J.

Carnival of Carnage - 4/5 Another simple song which repeats "Carnival of Carnage" 748573 times. The beat is good, making it worth listening to.

The Juggla - 6/5 CLASSIC horrorcore icp here. One of their most famous songs. A true anthem for this band. Even though the beat isn't impressive the rapping makes it what it is.

First Day Out - 4.5/5 Twiztied covered this song in 1999. A song about a guy whom goes to jail and needs a woman. The first of many demented love song. J has a more laid back style here.

Red Neck H0e - 3.5/5 another demented love song. Of the ICP coming across a needy red neck woman. Lacking a bit. Shows some immaturity but I do enjoy the beat quite alot. Joey does well here.

Wizard of the Hood - 6/5 A taste of thigns to come in the future. Violent J's storytelling takes off for the first time. Such a good story it spawned his concept ep released many many years later. A twisted version of "The Wizard of OZ" Joey has some funny commentary. One of the best here. Hard to top one like this.

Is That You? - 3/5 Eh, I guess it is okay. Features Kid Rock, before he became some country hick. His style is still pretty weak, even for back then. icp saves this song from being a total disaster. Kid Rock actually came in and recorded it drunk, so he was forced to record it. Now they have a long going fued going. That still lasts to this day.

Psychopathic - 10/5 a disturbing crunchy voice speaks an intro here of the concept of COC. Second best song here. Another taste of the future. J jsut starts and doesn't stop ti'll the song is finished. They take the main them froom the "Halloween" series at one point. Which I would have found cheesy if it didn't fit the song so well.

Guts on the Ceiling - 3.5/5 Nothing much to say, a mediocore song. Not all of them can be gems. Not worthless but eh, J could have done better.

Never Had it Made - 5/5 Joe and Joey tell of their misforture in their childhoods as they try to live a good path/life. However, bad luck follows them like a plague and eventually take to the wrong side of the path. What happens next? Listen to the song to find that one out.

Your Rebel Flag - 20/5 leading us to the gem of the album. A song about anti racism and hatred to hicks. Which is right up my album. The beat is ismple yet one of the best...no scratch that the best here. They all have great verses here (yes even Kickjazz) this is one of their ten best songs ever. Few can top it and even fewer songs have topped it. The album is worth it just for this song!

Ghetto Freak Show - 5/5 Good beat, great flow. Pretty slow, one of the best horrorcore songs here. A song about jealousy and hatred to those that don't appreciate what they have. A great song.

Taste - 4.5/5 Featuring Esham. great way to close the song. A "funky" type song. Esham was even a great rapper then. Nothing has changed. So the first part of the epic concept ends.....

So, to end this. if you love ICP and don't own this, it is a little different but still great. It is icp in their humor and horror. Enjoy.
