Wow, i'm not a fan of classical music, but I find this CD to be totally relaxing and excellently arranged. It opened me up to a whole new side of music. I bought it for the gnr song, and I find it disgusting people that like classical music put down this song cuz it's "rock n' roll". Oh well though... i'm not dissing the classical music, I totally opened up and like it. It's too bad the other people writing these reviews couldn't do the same. I don't see what they whine about. It's just songs. But anyway, anybody who read the book Interview With The Vampire (or any of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles) will know that ALL these songs fit into the general idea of the atmosphere the movie AND the books try to create. You can feel the scenes come back to you in vivid memory through the music. Also the music, creates an atmosphere by itself and all songs must be given their due credit. Never in my life have I heard a CD that perfectly captured the mood of a movie/book in every way...until now. The music is superb on its own and even better when you think about how well it fits the moods of the characters in the movie. It is the most beautiful soundtrack/classical music I have ever come across. Almost makes Mozart and Bach seem bad by comparison. :-) All I can say is that I hope Goldenthal got paid well for his masterpiece.Free Music Review: vampire lover

Loved this score. I wish though that more of the classical pieces would have been a part of it. All in all the score sets the tone for a particularly dark and spooky setting. Libera Me is my favorite. I see in other reviews that some didn't like the Gun's and Roses version of "Sympathy for the Devil" but I rather liked it. Overall a very good CD and the price isn't bad either!
