Free Music Review: Almost Perfect!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is my favorite movie soundtrack! Dont get me wrong here, for Classic Rock, I love the Dazed and Confused soundtracks, but this one has even more depth. The songs on here fit the film perfectly. Starting with Jim Croce's timeless "I've Got A Name" from the opening credits, and charging right into "Let it Ride" by BTO. There is such a great mix of classics on here, in s single disc package. The album version of Edgar Winter Group's "Free Ride" is a rare treat. Also included is what I consider Rod Stewart's best song outside his band Faces, "Mandolin Wind." The James Gang with Joe Walsh keeps the soundtrack rocking, while Elvin Bishop with Marty Balin help keep the pace from getting out of control. "How Long" by Paul Carrack and his band Ace, should be a commonplace track for any classic rock collection.
The only thing I would have done differently is add Jackson Browne's beautiful "These Days," which is heard in the film, but it's somehow left off the disc. It does not detract from the amazing mix of songs in any way, it would have just been a great addition.
Overall, I dont think you can beat this collection, not only as the film's soundtrack, but as a picture of what music was in that era.

Free Music Review: A striking collection of '70s Rock.
Hit: 5 Stars

Not being a football fan I watched the movie Invincible only at the persistant urging of a friend. I came away with a real appreciation of both the movie and the true story upon which it is based. As I was watching I couldn't help but notice that the music chosen to set the mood of the time was absolutely perfect. The producers chose these songs carefully, avoiding the trap of simply looking at a Top 40 list for the exact period the movie represents. Instead the songs represent good songs from the era that we may not have heard lately. The effect is dramatic; listening to this soundtrack I'm transported back to 1976 (and feel as if I'm listening to the radio in my old Chevy Malibu).

If you haven't seen the movie let me please recommend Invincible, the true-life story of a 30 year old man that became a NFL player. If you want an inexpensive form of time travel to take you back to the mid '70s you could do no better than this CD.

Free Music Review: Doesn't get much better than this
Hit: 5 Stars

I just watched the movie "Invincible" on TV. Not being a sports fan, I didn't have much interest in seeing this. I watched it at the insistence of my son. The movie so thoroughly grabbed me, that I went and ordered the DVD and soundtrack immediately after watching it. The only criticism I have is that, when I ripped it to put it on my mp3 player to listen to while running, the actual order of the songs on the CD is not listed correctly. The order is the same as on the CD jacket, so if you're a stickler about accuracy, you'll have to hand edit the info. Worth every penny!

Free Music Review: Brings back memories of the mid-70's
Hit: 5 Stars

While watching the movie "Invincible" at the theater, the music really stood out because it totally captured the mood of the mid-1970's time period in which it's set. Just hearing these songs that were popular when I was entering my teens brought back lots of great memories.

This CD brings together a number of 1970's hits in one place, giving you a great disc to play when you're in the mood to reminisce about a simpler time.

The music really complements the movie but it's also a great stand-alone disc for your collection.

Free Music Review: Amazing!

I had ordered this CD because of - "How Long," by Ace. I had been trying to find this song, and finally found it here. This version is much better than the one for sale at iTunes. Sorry, iTunes, but your version is "dirty," and I mean, it sounds distorted. I will watch the movie after reading the reviews. I am one very happy lady!
