'Solace' is perhaps the most brutal tech/chaos/math/metal (too many damn genres), etc. album to ever be released. It is an absolute must-own if you're a fan of the genre. I love the 'wall of sound' approach Ion opts for here. While this may turn off some,(this may be why some have taken issue with the production) I believe it complements the absolutely ferocious nature of the music. As another reviewer stated, the breakdowns are very atypical and provide an anchor in the whirlwind; sometimes the only way to know what song you're listening to is by the breakdown! While they would change their sound with their next album, this is the pinnacle of ultra brutal tech. Buy it and find out for yourself.
