Free Music Review: Hawaii's Favorite Braddah
Hit: 5 Stars

I remember the year Braddah Iz died,I live in Waianae and it was a shock to the people of Hawaii.I remember the day of his funeral his ashes were scattered out to sea with his brother Skippy, people came from all over the island traffic was horrid, but it was for the love of the music this one man brought. I have lived most of my life in Hawaii, and have gotten to known the Hawaiian culture and music,my children are Hawaiian and have been blessed to been brought up with this man's music.Braddah Iz will always be apart of the Hawaiian aina, and culture and his music is still listened too this day........ God Bless Braddah Iz...and his family.

Free Music Review: Recommended by LOCALS
Hit: 5 Stars

When I first travelled to Kauai in 1993, I went to the Lihue Kukui Grove Record Store where I met two very interesting women who first told me about IZ. He was, at that time, a local phenomenon. Both women had retired to this relatively remote island and had begun promoting Hawaiian artists. IZ was by far their most special find. For the next six years I met with them and tracked his career until his untimely death. Israel's first two albums, in particular, capture the unique song of the people and the refreshing independendence of the islands.

Free Music Review: IZ
Hit: 5 Stars

We discovered Iz while in Hawaii this past January. We have purchased all 6 of his CD's and all three of his DVD's. He has a beautiful voice, sense of humor, and love of his heritage and Hawaii. I just wish he was still with us to share himself. He is singing to God now and what a beautiful sound that must be. Thanks Iz for giving us your love and appreciation of Hawaii and what it means to the Hawaiian people.

Free Music Review: IZ's Last & Best
Hit: 5 Stars

"Ka'ano'i" was his first, and "Facing Future" is the biggest selling; but "In Dis Life" is IZ's last album and his most consistent and overall best work. From start to finish it is so good, that the album seems to finish too quickly and will have you pressing replay for another runthrough. The first 5 songs seem lifted from a Greatest Hits album. Get it and get all of IZ's albums while your at it!

Free Music Review: He will be missed
Hit: 5 Stars

I first heard Bruddah IZ (Brother to the English speaking community) play live in 1991 and was still living in Hawaii when he passed years later. I loved his style of Hawaiian music and his dedication to the Hawaiian Yokozuna's in Japan's Sumo wrestling in `Yokozuna.' He sings from the heart about his beloved Hawaii and the Hawaiian people, and he can do this in both Hawaiian and English. He will be missed dearly.
