This is the most beautiful music you will ever hear in a Christmas album. It has something for everyone! The orchestra music is so beautiful! It is peaceful and uplifting! I find myself humming the songs throughout the day. I liked it so much that I bought one for my friend, and she says she listens to it every night. It sure gives you a warm feeling when Michael Smith sings with the orchestra. The lyrics are beautiful and brings the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Christ, into clear view. This is my favorite Christmas album, and it is sure to become a classic!Free Music Review: Smitty Does It Again!

A review of this album can be summarized in one word: genius. It still amazes me how Michael W. Smith can capture the joy of Christ's birth without even uttering a word. His instrumentals portray the very essence of Christmas -- you'd know they are a celebration of Christmas even if you don't see the song's title. The vocals and arrangements are delightful, just as fans have grown to expect from him.
If you thought Michael's first two Christmas albums were the ultimate, you're going to have to add one more to the list.

There is nothing not to love about Michael W. Smith's "It's a Wonderful Christmas." You should be aware that Smitty does not sing on every track; some tracks are instrumental. You also hear a lot of choir. But don't let that stop you from getting this worshipful, splendid CD. With the exception of "What Child is This," all the pieces are original compositions by Michael W. Smith and company. His duet with American Idol's Mandisa is lovely.
I know I'll be listening to this CD for many, many Christmases to come.

I received this CD free as a marketing promotion for bloggers. I grew up listening to Michael W. Smith's music and have always been something of a fan, but was not prepared to be blown away like this. The music is majestic, beautiful, moving, and ageless. I was asked to play the CD while doing something Christmasy, like decorating the tree, but when I turned it on I found myself sitting, amazed, in front of the stereo. If you have an appreciation for music at all, this collection will exceed all of your expectations.Free Music Review: Glorious Christmas

I have many CDs in my collection of Christmas music, but this 2007 offering by Michael W. Smith is the most glorious sound for the season that I own. It has become addictive! I recommend it highly and have bought many copies to give as gifts. His genius as a composer; the grand 65 piece orchestra and four choirs all come together for a spectacular experience while pointing us to the One Whom the Christmas season honors. "Wonderful" is the right word for the recording's title!
