I fell in love with J Holiday after hearing 'Bed' and 'Suffocate' and had to get the CD. He is great when he's doing slow jams but his other songs sound like he's trying too hard to win street cred. There's too much talk about drugs for me. He does have a great voice though. Free Music Review: 1st Time is the Charm

To say this is a new artist and his first album I can honestly say that J.HOLIDAY did an excellent job. The music is pretty good with some great production of tracks. His sound changed alot from the single Bed but his music is still enjoyable..I would recommend....Free Music Review: Ehhhh...It's Alright...

I am kind of in the middle on this album, I do not know whether to actually take this cat seriously or a joke. Is it me, or in every song he references smoking up and drinking, dude come on son. I understand this album was closely drawn from life experiences, but smoking and drinking couldn't have been all that you have done in life. Besides, this common concept on the album...vocally he has skills and I was expecting something similar to the mainstream hits currently hitting the air waves, but you can not get what you always expect.Free Music Review: pleasantly surprised!!

J. Holiday is a smooth new comer on the scene. Very talented. Back of my Lac is exactly that. Chilling and relaxing. He shows his vocal flexibility and is a real singer. A few songs have explicit lyrics so the children should not be around if you are playing it on a Saturday while cleaning. It definitely is a good buy. Can't wait to hear what the sophmore will sound like.
