Free Music Notes for NewsiesFree Music Review: Truly original Hit: 5 Stars
I am a huge newsies fan. I would watch the movie whenever I could, and a couple of my friends and I would mock the dance moves of the kids in the film. We all love the soundtrack, and my personal favorite is The World Will Know. I am in theatre, and have been since I was 6. I did a dance in my dance class to Seize the Day when I was 7, and loved it even then! Its a wonderful soundtrack for adults as well as children. I highly recommend it.
Free Music Review: beautiful cd! Hit: 5 Stars
This is a magnificent soundtrack for a magnificent movie. Each song tells part of the story. I love the solos, my personal favorite being Max Casella's(Racetrack) during "The King of NewYork," but, because many of the newsies have solos, I'm sure everyone will hear their fovorite newsies' voice. The words to "Once and for All," made me want to watch the movie over and over again. This is a must for all music lovers!
Free Music Review: great! Hit: 5 Stars
I LOVE this soundtrack! The vocals are great. I have to keep reminding myself that the songs were sung by kids around my age! The lyrics are wonderful and the background music by Alan Menken is great as well. Christian really has a great voice that is shown through the song Santa Fe.
My favorites are:
-Santa Fe
-The World Will Know
-Once and For All
If you loved the movie, than get the soundtrack!
Free Music Review: A Memory of Childhood Hit: 5 Stars
For years this has been one of my favorite movies and the soundtrack is a "must have" for any who feel the same way. The captivating lyrics and music always remind me of how I felt when I first saw the movie. You know how it feels to be working and start humming, which gradually escalates to singing and how your day seems to fly by when you have a good song stuck in your head, and this CD is full of great songs.
Free Music Review: Some of the best songs ever on stage or silver screen Hit: 5 Stars
Incredible. That's the only word I can use to describe this work. The film is perhaps the greatest period piece ever done involving turn-of-the-century America, and simply put, the songs are what carry it. These songs are perhaps the most inspirational ever recorded, and, along with 'Song of Angry Men' and 'Red and Black' from Les Miserables, need to be learned by every self-respecting protester in the United States!!
