Free Music Review: One of My Favorite CDs and Movies
Hit: 5 Stars

I recently saw the movie Newsies for the second time, the first time when I was very young, and had to keep rerenting it to watch it again! I rewound the tape to see and hear the songs so many times I pratically have them all memorized! I think it's great that Amazon.com has released a soundtrack of all the wonderful music from the movie, my personal favorites being "King of New York", "Seize the Day", "Carrying the Banner" and of course Christian Bale's "Sante Fe". While I was watching the movie, chills ran up and down my spine and even just hearing the music makes me feel as if I am really there, in 1899, watching the Newsies peddle papers and listening to Jack and the others singing. This is a wonderful soundtrack, and I highly reccommend it. If you can find the movie or DVD, you should buy that too. Newsies is a wonderful movie that you won't want to miss out on.

Free Music Review: AWESOME!!!! The best!
Hit: 5 Stars

If you have seen the movie 'Newsies', and LOVED the music, get this CD!
Me and my sis keep havin to rerent this movie (someday we're gonna buy it!), but it's, in the words of the Newsie, Bumlets, "The best!"
There are only a couple of songs that I like to skip over on the soundtrack. My Lovey-Dovey Baby (sung by Medda), High Times, Hard Times (also sung by Medda), 'cause High Times in the movie has the Newsies singin' in it, but the soundtrack one doesn't have them singing in it 'till da end. Another one I usually skip over (though I do listen to it every now and then) is "Rooftop".
My faves are: 'Carryin da Banner', "Sieze the Day", and "King of New York". If I had to choose between any of the three, I couldn't.
This WHOLE CD is great. Click 'Add to Cart'. It's worth it!
*By the way, my fave Newsie is Kid Blink, and close 2nd is Mush, with Race at 3rd.*

Free Music Review: Newsies
Hit: 5 Stars

I have always been a fan of musicals and loved performing in them. But when I saw newsies for the first time it put me over the top! I watch it almost everyday just so I can sing and dance along with the songs. The thing that amazed me the most is that these were teenage boys singing and dancing with such talent! Also that it was based on a true story and that the writers kept to the story so well. The soundtrack is amazing! The first day that I got mine I was playing it all day! I can't get the songs out of my head! I love how the guys in this movie have such great voices and how many of them had newsies as their jump start to an awesome singing/dancing/acting/choreographing career.I can't say anything but good things about this musical, it makes me wish that I could someday have a career as great as theirs! This is by far one of my all-time favorite musicals!

Free Music Review: NEWSIES-A Banner headline of a soundtrack!!
Hit: 5 Stars

My family and I first watched the movie over 10 years ago. It was incredible. We bought the video when it came out, and bought our first soundtrack ever, when we bought this one. I can say without reservation that I HAVE NEVER GROWN TIRED of hearing this soundtrack, whether it be the rousing "Once and For All", the fun "King of New York" and "Carrying the Banner", or the poignant "Sante Fe". After all these years I am still moved when I hear the "...when you got a million voices singing, who can hear a lousy whistle blow" during the reprise of "The World Will Know". The instrumentals are also great, with "Rooftop" and the finale "Carrying the Banner" rating 5 stars all on their own. I am glad that this movie and soundtrack seem to finally be getting the praise that they deserve.

Free Music Review: Fantabulous!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was ecstatic that Amazon re-released the soundtrack- die-hard Newsies fans have been shelling out over $60 to get it on Ebay. And who can blame them? Alan Menken's upbeat soundtrack is one of the best parts of this movie. The voices and instrumentation are fantastic. I smile whenever I hear the first line: "In 1899, the streets of New York City echoed with the voices of Newsies..." Chills run up and down my spine with the Seize the Day chorale. I have to fight the urge to dance and sing along with the music every time I hear it. This CD is spinning in my CD player more than any other. Take advantage of this incredibly low price and buy the soundtrack today- it'll make a Newsies fan out of you! And while you're at it, search for Newsies under DVD and add your vote to get THAT released too. Thank you, Amazon!
