Free Music Review: How could you NOT like this soundtrack?

I've been obsessed with Newsies ever since my Indoor Colorguard did a performance to "Carryin' the Banner" three years ago, and FINALLY the DVD & CD are available! This is such a catchy CD...almost all the songs are fun and upbeat, and great to listen to. I can honestly say I love every song on this CD...the *only* weak part being Bill Pullman's voice. The man is a great actor, but his singing should have been dubbed. But he only does a few lines, so it's not that a big deal. Other than that, the songs are equal parts fun and endearing...it's just a great CD!Free Music Review: i'm obsessed with the newsies

Before i saw the movie i thought it was going to be the lamest thing on earth but boy was i wrong. i'm in love with the movie and the soundtrack. it is the most upbeat fun soundtrack i own and i listen to it every day practically. The boys in the movie are hella hot too (always an added bonus for me). So yes, BUY THIS SOUNDTRACk because it'll change your life foreverrrr. "Seize the Day" is my favorite song on the soundtrack..or maybe "carrying the banner is"...but whatever 'cause they're all fabulous. i this movie.Free Music Review: I Love the Soundtrack and Movie

This review is long over due. Newsie is my favorite movie and I first saw it when I was 5, I cried. I loved the dancing and till this day I listen to the music. I just recently heard a rumor that Newsies is hitting Broadway in November of 2003. I hope that this is true because I love theatre and got into it because of watching Newsies. The music is so ... I can't even put it into words. If you listen closely you can hear a few cords that sound Beauty and the Beastesque as well as Little Mermaidesque. I first wanted to watch the Newsies because some of the cast from the show Roundhouse was in it. I borrowed it from a friend and thought it was great. Then, a couple months later I rewatched it and absolutly loved it! I had to get the soundtrack and video, but I learned they were out of print. I bid for then on eBay, and finally bught the soundtrack here and I love it! The songs are catchy and wonderful. They are well written and well perfomed. I first saw Newsies in 1992 at theatres when it was released, and I have never changed my mind. This is definitely a wonderful musical, and Christian Bale immediately became my favorite actor as soon as I saw the movie. The soundtrack is unforgettable, and you will definitely be singing along with all of the songs. A truely great soundtrack, and a terrific movie, which I hope that Disney releases on DVD soon. I've met Christian Bale a few years ago, and he is a really nice guy, which makes seeing his movies even better.
