Free Music Notes for Sing-A-Longs & Lullabies for the Film Curious GeorgeFree Music Review: Great CD!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
My granddaughter saw the Curious George movie awhile back. She had some money to spend and wanted to buy this CD (Sing-A-Longs & Lullabies for the Film Curious George). She bought it and played it for me yesterday. I love music of all kinds. I've been known many times to buy a cd for one song that I love. Usually learn to love the other songs or some of them even more than the song I bought it for. It takes time to listen and learn to love the other songs. BUT THIS CD, I LOVED ALL THE SONGS INSTANTLY! I am almost 62 years old and sing along with all the songs. The songs are wonderful and have a lot of meaning and guidance for kids as well as adults! Jack has such a great voice. The band is great. The words are great. I highly recommend this cd. IT IS A FEW DAYS LATER AFTER WRITING THIS REVIEW AND I'M STILL LISTENING TO THIS CD! I felt compelled to come back and say more....I feel this CD could win AWARD FOR BEST CD OF THE YEAR!!! Seriously, BUY THIS CD, IT IS FANTASTIC. Has 13 songs and all are WINNERS!!!!
Free Music Review: I love this soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
This is an excellent soundtrack to the new animated movie Curious George. My favorite track is the first single Upside Down. This is a song about we should always have a curious approach about life and make our own discoveries.
Jungle Gym is another catchy tune here. This is a very playful song that fits the spirit of the movie well. This is a song that is easy to sing along to especially when Johnson sings the la la chorus of this song. I love the duet with my own two hands with Ben Harper here. It is a pretty song about reaching out to make a friend.
The 3 R's is another highlight here. This is a cute song about how everything we find is useful, and that we should not waste anything. I think the track The Sharing Stone is a very groovy sounding song. I enjoyed the piano playing by Zach Gill on this track, and I think he compliments Jack Johnson's vocals here well. Jack Johnson is truly a talented musician. I love this soundtrack, and I can't wait to see the movie.
Free Music Review: What a wonderful and fun CD!! Hurray! Hit: 5 Stars
I believe this was my 4th purchase of this CD. I so love it. I have been a Jack Johnson fan and as a child I loved Curious George. It just seemed like a good match. I love listening to this while I work...as I am now. This CD is very upbeat and fun for kids AND adults. I work in a kid's hospital and loaned it out to my friend who is the Playlady in the atrium where kids play while they or their sibs wait for medical care. Mom's and Dad's are often there too. It is so positively received. I bought her a second when the first disappeared and one for my 20 something neice.
I invision this being used for kids 2 and up. It is fun to play and work by and makes me smile. It is not intrusive, does not disturb my thoughts or ability to work. Somehow I think it facilitates it. I bet it would be fun in the car with kids to cruse along with. Positivity and flowing music.... gotta love it.
Ordering from Amazon is so easy... just like 1,2,3 or A B C... :-)
Free Music Review: Better than expected Hit: 5 Stars
I was skeptical to purchase this album. For one thing, it is a soundtrack to a g rated movie and is aimed more for the 3-12 year old crowd. Not neccessarily true. Though the song's like 3 R's are definitely geared towards the younger crowd it is still enjoyable to listen to them because they are good song's. Brokedown is a great tune that I really didn't see coming. A great song indeed. I like the music here better than on jack's regular album's, a little more uptempo( at least on the first two thirds of the album) and has different instruments that really add something to jack's already sparse sound, but the lyrics are a little bit weak...but then again what would you expect for the curious george soundtrack? Hightlight's are, We're Going To Be Friends, Jungle Gym, Brokedown and People Watching. Overall I would reccomend this album to ANYONE that likes jack johnson at all. It could nearly be considered his 4th album and it really does rank up there with his other albums.
Free Music Review: Amazing... Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this cd after seeing the Curious George Movie. Not only is the movie great, but the soundtrack is great too! I honestly don't think that they could've picked anyone better to do this soundtrack. Jack Johnson even covers a White Stripes Song(the White Stripes version is on Napolean Dynamite.) and I must say that he does an outstading job with it.
This cd is great for kids and adults alike. There's no perverted lyrics, no bad language, no yelling or screaming, and no grinding background music. This is just good music that is good to listen to if you want to wind down. I'm a huge rock music fan...I listen to stuff like Green Day, System of a Down, My Chemical Romance, ect. Although there are heavier things to listen to then these bands, they aren't the most mellow. This Jack Johnson cd is a very nice break from all of that.
I suggest this cd to anyone. It doesn't matter what style of music you like, I think that anyone would enjoy this.
